İsviçre Vize İstiyor mu?

İsviçre, ülkesine seyahat edecek Türkiye Cumhuriyeti vatandaşlarından Umuma Mahsus (Bordo) pasaport sahiplerinden vize istiyor. Ancak eğer Hizmet (Gri), Hususi (Yeşil) ve Diplomatik (Siyah) pasaport sahibiyseniz 180 gün içerisinde 90 günü aşmamak kaydıyla vizeden muafsınız. İsviçre Avrupa Birliği Üyesi mi?

İsviçre her ne kadar Avrupa’nın göbeğinde de yer alsa, Avrupa Birliği üyesi değil. Ama bu Avrupalı vatandaşların ya da Avrupa’dan herhangi bir ülkeden vize almış bireylerin İsviçre’ye girmesine engel değil. Bunun nedeni de bir sonraki soruda.

İsviçre’ye Schengen Vizesi ile Gidilir mi?

Evet, İsviçre’te Schengen vizesi ile gidilir. Avrupa Birliği’nde olmasa da İsviçre Schengen bölgesinde yer alıyor. Bu da demek oluyor ki, Schengen vizesi olan herkes İsviçre’ye elini kolunu sallayarak girebilir. Üstelik bu Schengen vizesinin İsviçre’den alınmış olmasına da gerek yok. Ya da bazı ülkeler daha sıkı araştırma yapıp, fazladan belge isterken, bazı ülkeler daha kolay vize verebiliyor. Ama aldığınız vize neticede hep aynı; Schengen vizesi.

Schengen Vizesini Hangi Ülkeden Aldıysam İlk Girişi O Ülkeye mi Yapmalıyım?

Maalesef kepimizin kafasını kurcalayan bu sorunun cevabı, evet. Schengen vizesi aldığımız ülkeye giriş yapmalıyız ilk olarak. Schengen vize rejimi yönetmeliği gereği, vizenin alındığı ülkeye ilk giriş yapma mecburiyeti bulunuyormuş. Bu durumda da bu 3 ay içinde Avrupa’ya birden fazla gelmek isteyebilirsiniz. Bu durumda da mı her zaman ilk girişi İsviçre’den yapmanız gerekecek? Hayır. İlk girişinizi aynı vizeyle ilk defa seyahat ettiğinizde İsviçre’den yapmanız yetiyor. Geri kalan vizenizde Türkiye’ye dönüp tekrar Avrupa’ya giriş yapmak istediğinizde istediğiniz ülkeye gidebilirsiniz direkt olarak.

İsviçre Vizesi Nasıl Alınır?

İsviçre vize başvurularının değerlendirilmesi için tek yetkili kuruluş İsviçre Konsolosluğu’dur. Ancak kısa süreli (90 günü aşmayan) turistik amaçlı vizeye başvuracaksanız, konsolosluk sizi direkt olarak kabul etmez. Bunun yerine yetkilendirilmiş vize merkezlerine başvurmanız gerekiyor.

Eğer 90 günden uzun kalacaksanız, yani oturma izni, aile birleşimi, çalışma izni gibi vizelere başvuracaksanız, direkt olarak konsolosluktan randevu almanız ve evraklarınızı konsolosluğa götürmeniz gerek.

İsviçre Vizesi Almak Zor mu?

Eğer istenilen belgeleri temin ederseniz, şaibeli görünen bir durumunuz yoksa ve maddi durumunuz talep ettikleri durumdaysa İsviçre vizesi almak zor değildir. Yeter ki talep edilen şeylerin hepsini karşılıyor olun.

Evraklar ilk etapta çok fazla gibi görünebilir, ancak tüm ülkelere başvuruda aynı durum söz konusu maalesef. Bu durum İsviçre vizesini değil genel olarak vize alımını zorlaştırıyor bence. Ama çok görünse bile hepsi kolayca bir gününüzü bile almadan hazırlayabileceğiniz evraklar.

Yine de her türlü sorunuzu öncelikle TLS Contact’ı arayarak netleştirmenizi tavsiye ederim. Gerek görürlerse zaten sizi direkt konsolosluğu aramanız konusunda yönlendireceklerdir.

TLS Contact Web Sitesinden Adım Adım Başvuru Süreci

TLS Contact’ın biri Ankara biri İstanbul olmak üzere 2 merkezi bulunuyor. Size en yakın olan merkezi seçerek işleminize başlayabilirsiniz.

Ardından açılan sayfanın en altından ”Başvurumu Başlat” seçeneğini tıklıyoruz.

Başvurumu Başlat dedikten sonra, açılan sayfada ne için başvuruyorsanız onu seçerek gerekli bilgilere erişebiliyorsunuz. Örneğin aşağıda Aile ve Turizm seçeneğini seçtim. Aşağıda hemen bazı bilgiler ve indirilebilecek pdf dosyaları çıkıyor. Bu belgelerde de yine detaylı bir şekilde ne yapmanız gerektiği yazıyor.

Örneğin yukarıdaki sayfada maviyle ”Turistik” yazan yere tıkladığımda aşağıdaki belge açıldı. Burada size bir ön bilgi veriliyor. Formu nasıl doldurmanız gerektiğinden, hangi evrakları ne şekilde temin etmeniz gerektiğine kadar. Bunu bir checklist olarak kullanabilir, belgeleri tamamladıkça yanındaki kutucuğa tik atabilirsiniz mesela, ben öyle yapmıştım karışmaması adına, çünkü çok fazla belge talep ediliyor.

Ardından hesabınızı oluşturun.

Hesabınızı oluşturduktan sonra sağ üst köşedeki ”Hesabım” kısmına tıklayın. Açılan sayfada yazılanları dikkatli bir şekilde okuduktan sonra ”Bir Başvuru Oluşturun”a tıklayın. İstenen bilgileri girdikten sonra, ileriki adımlarda randevu günü alabileceğiniz bir sayfa açılacak. Buradan randevu alın ve istenilen belgeleri randevu gününe kadar hazırlayın.

NOT: Randevunuzu seyahat gününden minimum 1-2 ay almanızda fayda var. Pasaportun geri iletilmesi bazen uzun sürebiliyor ve uçağına da az kalmış bu kişinin, hadi acele edelim demiyorlar 🙂

Seyahat Sağlık Sigortasını Nasıl Alacağım?

İnternet üzerinden herhangi bir sigorta şirketini bulup, iletişime geçip hangi ülkeye gittiğinizi ve ne kadar kalacağınızı söylemeniz yeterli. Bu bilgilere göre size kalacağınız süre için poliçe hazırlıyorlar. Fiyatlar kalacağınız güne ve gideceğiniz yere göre değişiyor. Ortalama 20 euro civarı oluyor.

İsviçre Vizesi için Sponsor Mektubu Hangi Durumlarda Gereklidir?

Çalışmıyorsanız, ev hanımıysanız, öğrenciyseniz ya da yeterli geliriniz yoksa, İsviçre seyahatinizin masraflarını karşılayacak olan sponsorun desteği ile vize başvurusunda bulunabilirsiniz.

Bu durumda size finansör olacak kişinin mektup yazması ve bu mektupta tüm masraflarınızdan sorumlu olduğunu belirtmesi gerekiyor. Buna ek olarak size finansör olan kişinin gelir durumunu gösteren belgelerini, çalışıyor olduğunu da beyan etmesi gerek.

Size sponsor olacak biri varsa, sizin bankanızda ne kadar olduğu ya da iş durumunuz önem arz etmiyor.

İsviçre Vize Ücretleri?

Güncel vize ücretleri şu an (Nisan 2022’de) aşağıdaki şekilde. Ancak güncel fiyatları buradan kontrol edebilirsiniz.

İsviçre Vizesi Kaç Günde Çıkar?

İsviçre vizesi başvuruları, başvuru belgelerinin konsolosluğa iletilmesinden itibaren 5 ile 15 gün içinde açıklanıyor. Bu gün süresi yoğunluklarına göre daha az ya da daha uzun da sürebilir. Bu sebeple başvuruları 1 ay önceden yapmakta fayda var.

İsviçre Vizesi Reddi

Ben de zamanında İtalya’dan red almış biri olarak, büyük hayal kırıklığı oluyor red almak ama maalesef bu kararı verebiliyorlar. Siz başvurunuzu yapıyorsunuz, tüm ücretlerinizi ödüyorsunuz, otel rezervasyonları, uçak biletleri ödenmiş oluyor. Sonra red gelince birden hem maddi hem manevi bayağı bir yaralıyor insanı. Peki red etme sebepleri genelde ne oluyor?

Eksik evrak yüzünden red verilmiyor öncelikle onu belirteyim. Çünkü eksik evrağınız varsa sizi arıyorlar ve eksik olan neyse en kısa sürede getirmenizi istiyorlar. Genelde sizin oraya turistik amaçlı değil de ülkede temelli kalmak niyetiyle gittiğinizi düşündükleri için red veriyorlar. Bana mesela öyle yapmışlardı İtalya için. Hatta direkt açıklama olarak ”senin buraya temelli kalmak için geldiğini düşünüyoruz, bu sebeple vizeni reddettik” yazmışlardı.

Maddi durumunuzu beyan ettiğiniz evraklar yeterli görülmeyebilir, daha önce ülkeye girişte kural ihtali yapmışsanız bu sebeple red verebilirler vs.

Sebep her ne olursa olsun bunu size yazılı, imza ve kaşeli bir mektupla bildiriyorlar. Akabinde siz de ya bunu sineye çekiyorsunuz, ya da itiraz mektubu gönderiyorsunuz. İkisini de yapmayıp yeniden başka evraklarla da başvurabilirsiniz.

Bu arada unutmadan, vize başvurusunun reddedilmesi durumunda İsviçre vize başvuru ücreti size iade edilmiyor.

Despite the bad weather, we felt as if we had come to a summer town in Italy. You feel like you are in Italy rather than Switzerland, as the city is only 13 km away from Italy.

Where Is Locarno, Switzerland?

Locarno is located in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, south of Switzerland. Located on the northern shore of Lake Maggiore at the foot of the Alps, Locarno is just 13 km from Italy. Public Transportation within the Canton of Ticino

When you stay in Canton Ticino, they will give you a Ticino ticket valid for the duration of your stay. With this ticket you can use all public transports in Ticino free of charge. If your hotel forgets to give you your free transportation ticket, be sure to remind them, get your transportation ticket from your hotel.

1- Lungolago di Locarno

Locarno is a beautiful city where you can just sit on a bench and watch the lake and mountains. So just as you get off the train or park your car, go to the lakeside “Lungalago di Lorcarno” and walk along the beach, then sit on a bench and watch the view.

In addition to walking on this palm tree-lined coast, you can swim in the beaches or in the pools at the lakeside facilities.

2- Old Town – Piazza Grande

After completing your tour on the lake, head straight up to the old town. You will find the city square Piazza Grande which is surrounded by perfectly restored 19th-century buildings. You can also visit an open-air market, which has been a tradition since 1164 and is held every Thursday.

Also, as I mentioned before, when the International Film Festival is held in this square every August, the square turns into a complete open-air cinema. You can go to Locarno in August just to attend this festival.

3- Madonna del Sasso

Now let’s talk about the most interesting part of Locarno. According to legend, this place of worship on the Locarno rocks was opened upon the appearance of the Virgin Mary to Bartolomeo, one of the monks of the Locarno monastery. The temple is also one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations.

To get to this church, which is located at an altitude of 370 m above sea level, you have to climb a path with stairs that will take about 20 minutes.

Along the way, there are chapels representing the breaks Jesus took while walking with the cross on his back. You should definitely go on foot because the scenery is excellent along the way. And it’s interesting because it’s a path where pilgrims walk.

4- Visconteo Castle Archaeological Museum

In January 2004, Italian historian Marino Vigano said that this castle may have been designed by Leonardo da Vinci. And it was accepted as a Da Vinci project after 7 years of work.

Castello Visconteo, now an archaeological museum, is located right next to the old town. Today, only one-fifth of the original building from the 15th and 16th centuries remains, the rest has been rebuilt.

5- Camellia Park

In these charming gardens by the lake, you can stroll among the camellia flowers in spring. The park is home to 850 kinds of flowers.

The park consists of a series of sections like a labyrinth, and you can take a meditative walk with the sounds of birds and the waves of the lake while walking around the park. Entry is free.

6- Verzasca Valley

The Verzasca Valley has wide trails of about 300 km. You can take a walk in the lake, participate in the activities on the sports tracks, and take mountain walks.

If you are an adrenaline junkie, you can do bungee jumping. Just like James Bond did in the opening scene of Golden Eye. From a height of 220 meters, you can jump between the narrow rocky walls of the mouth of the Verzasca Valley. (I can’t even dream of it haha)

You need to spend a full day in this place. If you don’t have that much time, you can tour Locarno early in the morning and move on to the Verzasca Valley before noon.

7- Moon and Stars Music Festival

If you have your trip in July, a magnificent music festival will welcome you. Moons and Stars Festival is not only the biggest festival in the Southern Alps but also the most atmospheric! The city square is turned into a concert venue and world-famous artists come to this festival.

8- Lake Maggiore Boat Tours

You can take a boat to the villages, ports and cities on the other side of Lake Maggiore.

9- Small Tourist Train

The easiest and most enjoyable way to see the city’s highlights can be this small tourist train that tours Locarno and Ascona. During the tour, you can listen to the history of the city. For this 30-minute journey, you need to buy the tickets when you get on the train. Tours run from March 19 to October 24, with the first tour starting at 11 am.

Locarno is an Italian-speaking lakeside town in southern Switzerland on the shores of Lake Maggiore that is at the foot of the Alps. Ascona is also one of the most beautiful towns in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, right next to Locarno. In this article, while talking about our short weekend trip with my husband in Locarno and Ascona, I will also be sharing my recommendations on what to see, visit, stay, and taste.

Romantic Weekend in Locarno and Ascona

When I opened my eyes Stefano wasn’t sleeping next to me. I checked the time, saw that it was 4 in the morning. The hall light was on. I asked what he was doing. He said that since we’ll be away for the weekend, he had to do some work and finish a few errands, so he got up early. (I later learn that he got up early to decorate the house, and then went out and bought a birthday cake.)

We have to leave the house at 8 o’clock and catch the train. I woke up at 7 am to the sound of the alarm. First thing I want to do is go to the kitchen and make coffee. But I go to the bathroom before I can fill the coffeepot as Stefano hurries me to the toilet. When I come out, he greets me with a small cake and an envelope. Well, guess it’s my 30th birthday today!

I don’t know why, but since my childhood, I was looking forward to turning 30. I waited for this day as if I would experience an incredible enlightenment and discover the meaning of life. It’s as if I will have jumped another level in life, I will come out of the cocoon as a butterfly. Of course, none of them happened. And I feel like I’m getting smaller somewhere inside.

When I opened the envelope, there was a card inside. 14 items on the card, and they were all covered with a piece of paper. At that moment, a police siren sounded from the surrounding. “You’ve been caught aging too fast. You broke the speed limit by crossing the age limit of 30. You are under arrest!” Stefano started to shout lol. “If you want to be free, you must successfully complete all 14 missions on the card.”

He organized the whole weekend put every single activity on the card. I spent 2 days just sticking to what was written on the card, not knowing what our next plan was. A police siren suddenly sounds in the middle of the street, everyone including me is looking around, trying to understand where the sound is coming from. It’s Stefano of course where the siren sound comes from haha. ”Fulfill your 5th duty or you will end up in jail,” he says.

Here’s this guy turned 32 2 days ago lol.

My father used to go into my grandmother’s wardrobe, put on her wigs, put on her clothes. And while we were all sitting in the garden, he would suddenly enter the garden, scaring us all. I guess women really choose men as husbands who look like their fathers haha.

Anyway, Stefano is always the same story as my father. We took the card in our hands, we are going through it item by item. We arrived in Ticino, the Italian region of Switzerland. We got off the train in Locarno, the northernmost point of Lake Maggiore.

I can’t tell you how happy I got because it would be nice to get a little bit of Italian air after the cold weather in the German part of Switzerland.

It takes about 2 hours between Locarno and Horgen, the town we live in. Horgen is 15-20 minutes from Zurich by train. For those who will start the journey from Zurich, it will take 2 hours or 2 hours and 15 minutes, depending on the train you take.

Locarno and Ascona

It was 10 o’clock when we arrived in Locarno. We entered Caffè Locarno right next to the Locarno train station to have breakfast.

Cappuccino was really delicious. You can understand that you are one step closer to Italy just from the taste of cappuccino, especially after the coffees around Zurich,!

But the croissant was unfortunately not very good. The reason why it didn’t meet our expectations was when we ordered a croissant, we had hoped that they would bring Italian-style croissant ”cornetto”, but they brought Swiss-style “gipfeli“. Stefano and I are not big gipfeli fans. If you prefer Italian croissants like us, make sure to order “cornetto”. If you say “Croissant“, they bring gipfeli. Another thing is that they put powdered sugar on the cornettos. If you want your croissant completely salty, you should prefer gipfeli.

The first thing that caught my eye after breakfast was Chicoree women’s clothing store. I wanted to go on a shopping spree since it was almost half the price of Zurich. But Stefano had other plans so we left it for the 2nd day.

After walking a bit around Locarno center, we visited Madonna del Sasso. Although it’s only 1.4 km from the center, the Madonna del Sasso temple is located on the hill and is 370 m above sea level, where you can see the whole city. You have to climb stairs to reach the church.

One of the most important things about this church is that it is an important pilgrimage destination, and another is that there are sculptures and paintings of works such as Lamentation of Christ and The Last Supper.

After visiting the church and its small museum, we went out and watched the city of Locarno from above.

It was almost 1 in the afternoon and we were pretty hungry after walking nonstop for several hours. I took another piece of paper from the card and we went to L’Archetto to eat the Roman-style pizza “Pinsa Romana“, which I will call it world’s most delicious pizza from now on. I bet you can’t have a tastier pizza than this!

These pizzas are made in Roman style. It’s a tiny place. He has 2 tables in his garden. It seems that his main business is take away. The pinsa is very delicious and has a different taste. I liked it so much that I immediately got the recipe! I’m linking it below in case you want to try it at home!

We decided to leave Locarno and walk slowly to Ascona. The distance between Locarno and Ascona is only 2 km, so you can easily reach it on foot. We started walking slowly and getting lost among the most beautiful colors of autumn.

Ascona feels more like a seaside town than Locarno. You realize that you are still in Switzerland, but at the same time it resembles the small lakeside towns of Italy. There weren’t many people on the streets, probably because of the pandemic. It was almost empty everywhere. This situation didn’t bother us much, as it was suitable for our romantic weekend concept haha. We should come back on summer to enjoy the city to the fullest.

We sat on the benches for a while and watched the ducks. We went to the ice cream shop on the corner and got an ice cream cone. Ice cream shop is a place called L’ Angolo dei Golosi, right by the lake in the center. I’m sorry to say but the ice cream was bad 🙁

I need to say that I compare it with the ice creams in Italy. Not too bad by Swiss standards haha. But it’s just not acceptable for an ice cream to be this bad just a few kilometers from Italy!

Just a bit further away, there is an ice cream shop called Gelateria Pippo. I found it later when I was looking at Google reviews. There was long queues in front of it. You might try this one. Let me know if you do so!

After walking by the lake, we toured the city. After all, both Locarno and Ascona are so small that you can go anywhere in one day. Then we headed to the hotel where we were going to stay for the night. Since I was pretty tired, I insisted Stefano take the public transport. However, I naively believed him because he said, “We’ll reach there in a maximum of 10 minutes on foot.” Guess what happened? We had to walk for at least an hour and a half through the forest, soaked in the rain and bogged down in the mud. I say ‘we ”had to” because once we started climbing those steep roads of that forest, we had to move forward because we couldn’t risk slipping and falling while trying to get back in that mud!

Being stuck in the forest with Stefano on this trip, just like in every other trip? Done!

Imagine how much I swore at him on the way lol.

But in the end we came to such a beautiful hotel that all my tiredness was gone!

The name of the hotel is Panorama Hotel Elisabetta. I definitely recommend you to stay here. The hotel has such an amazing view. At first, we couldn’t really understand the scenery because it was foggy. It looked like this;

However, after a while, the landscape evolved into this;

All we had to do was to enjoy the view from the balcony of our room. :p

We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Ristorante Al Braciere. Since it was the chestnut season, there were chestnuts in all dishes. And since it was hunting season, venison was on the main menu. They have a very good chef. Although chestnuts were included in every meal, we loved all the dishes without getting bored and without getting the same taste. Even if you’re not staying at this hotel, we recommend that you dine at its restaurant.

The next day, we got up early in the morning and had breakfast at the hotel, as our train back home was in the afternoon. By the way, during your stay at the hotel, the hotel gives you a free public transport ticket. With this ticket, we took a bus in front of the hotel and returned to the city center of Ascona.

Stefano offered to walk back, but it was incredibly rainy! That’s why, without wandering around too much, I visited Chicoree to complete the work I left unfinished yesterday and did some shopping!

Even though we had breakfast 2 hours ago, we went to the Roman pizzeria again and I had a another pinsa. Stefano couldn’t eat, but I always have a bit space in my stomach for a good pizza! I ordered the same as yesterday.

We walked around in Locarno a bit more. Then we got on the train and headed home.

Thus, we have come to the end of our short trip and birthday celebration.

Glarus Klöntalersee: The Most Beautiful Lake in Switzerland

Since the weather got cold, I was looking at the photos from the summer to warm myself up. Then I realized that I hadn’t prepared a guide about Klöntalersee yet. I immediately started writing because why should those who will come to Switzerland be deprived of this beauty!? In this article, I tried to include all the information about Klöntal Lake. I hope I can persuade you to visit!

Swiss Nobel Prize-winning poet Carl Spitteler was right when he said, “Klöntalersee is one of the incredible natural beauties that no imagination can predict”. This is truly a legendary place. The clarity of the water, the reflection of every image that falls on it like a mirror, the fact that it is surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains of Switzerland…and the list goes on.

This lake has been used for electricity generation since the dam was built on it in 1908. It is the oldest water reservoir in Switzerland. Even before ice machines were invented, ice was extracted from the Klöntalersee when it was frozen. The work of obtaining ice from the lake ended in 1953.

Our acquaintance with the Klöntal lake is actually relatively new. We’ve been visiting it for 2 years whenever we find time. We like to take our visitors here. When Stefano’s uncle and aunt came from Italy and when my aunts came from Germany, we took them to this lake first thing. Because it needs to be seen, walked around, and swim in its water friends!

Where is Glarus Klöntal Lake?

Klöntalersee (see means lake in German), or Lake Klöntal, is located in the Klöntal valley in the Swiss canton of Glarus.

The lake is 848 meters above sea level and about 5 kilometers long. This makes Klöntalersee one of the largest lakes in Switzerland.

How to Get to Glarus Klöntal Lake?

As usual, I will explain the transportation by starting from the Zürich Main Train Station. Even if you start from another place, the train station you need to arrive at is Glarus.

Departure Station: Zürich HB

Intermediate Station: Glarus

Arrival Station: Klöntal, Rhodannenberg (Beginning of the lake) or Klöntal, Plätz (backside of the lake)

Whether we go by bus or by car, we always preferred to stop at the Klöntal, Rhodannenberg stop. Because we always find this part of the lake more beautiful. It is quieter and we like the view more.

From Zurich train station, you take the first train to Glarus train station and get off at one of the two stops I mentioned above by bus 72.504 departing from Glarus. You don’t have to walk to go to the lake. Bus stops are right next to the lake. However, the hours of these buses are very bad. It can be 3 buses in the morning and 3 in the evening can leave, or it can be hourly. So be sure to check the bus times in advance here.

If you’re coming by car, there are parking spaces right along the edge of the lake. And it’s free. However, it can be very difficult to find a place on crowded days, but you will definitely find a place even if it takes a bit time.

What to Take with You to the Glarus Klöntalersee

Towels for swimming, swimsuits, sunscreen, sea slippers, sunglasses for protection from the sun in summer, a hat, sunscreen, sturdy sneakers and comfortable walking clothes if you wish to walk. If you plan to visit in winter, then a thick coat, beanie, scarf, gloves, walking boots, snack for the day and lots of water.

What Activities Can You Do at Glarus Klöntal Lake? 8 Activities You Can Do

1. Swimming is a must in summer! But I must say beforehand that this lake is incredibly cold! The temperature of the water was 22 degrees on the hottest day of summer., which is fine. But when we went towards the end of summer, it was 5 degrees on average! So it takes some courage to be honest haha. But the ice coldness of the water is so relaxing, and the view when you look around from the lake is so impressive that you should definitely not miss the opportunity to swim in this lake.
2. Perfect for ice skating in winters! Of course, if the authorities allow it, which is determined depending on the ice thickness. If you’re going to visit in the winter, it’s a good idea to check beforehand.
3. You can ice dive. But maybe you shouldn’t, it must be very cold doing that lol.
4. You can camp. There are two beautiful campgrounds around the lake: Vorauen Campground and  Güntlenau Güntlenau Campground. While Vorauen is located at the back of the lake, Güntlenau is located at the front of the lake.
5. You can fish. This lake’s also a true paradise for fishermen. If you’re going to engage in a simple fishing event with your fishing rod and fishing bait, you can get a free permit for this. However, you need to get a license for more extensive hunting. You can get detailed information here.
6. You can do stand up paddling. You can paddle on the lake by renting it from the entrance of the lake.

7. You can go hiking. If you wish, you can do nature walks around the lake or in the mountains around the valley where the lake is located.

8. You can barbecue. There are areas around the lake where you can light a fire. You can use these as or bring your own portable barbecue set and do picnic.

Every time we visit Lake Klöntal, we first take a long nature walk. Then go down to the lake and swim to cool off and have a picnic.

When to go to Glarus Klöntalersee?

You can make your decision by considering the above activities. You can choose the winter months for activities such as ice skating, ice diving, trekking in the snow. Or you can choose the summer months if you want to swim, have a picnic and walk in hot weather. The lake is also very beautiful in the spring, but my preference is the summer months in order to swim in rather warmer water.

Glarus Klöntal Lake Trekking Route

While it’s fun to go to this lake and dive directly into the water, there’s nothing like breaking a sweat to make swimming more enjoyable here! If you follow the route I will give now, you will encounter incredible views. I strongly recommend!

First of all, I would like to point out that this route is a 3rd degree route in terms of difficulty, that is, it is a difficult journey. It takes 7-8 hours to start from the starting point A, which is, Klöntal, Rhodannenberg stop and return to the same point. However, we didn’t return to the same point of the lake. We started from point A and went up. After reaching the top of the mountain, we went down to the other side of the lake and ended the hike. It took 4-5 hours like this. If it’s too long or maybe too short for you, you can browse different walking routes on this site. Choose according to the degree of difficulty, and even walk more than one route if you have time.

Where to Eat in Klöntalersee, Switzerland

As I mentioned before, around the lake is full of areas where you can barbecue. You can just bring your grill and use these barbecues. However, beware, you may not find an empty barbecue as it will be crowded in the summer months. As a second alternative, disposable barbecue sets are sold in every market, especially in summer. You can also have a barbecue and picnic by buying them.

If you are not in the mood for a picnic or if you want to sit somewhere and have a cup of coffee with a view of the lake, you can go to the places I recommend below.

Schwammhöhe: This is a restaurant slightly above the lake, which is our favorite. It has a very beautiful view. The food is standard.

Restaurant Rhodannenberg: This is a cute place right at the entrance of the lake. Food is also not so special here.

Gasthaus Im Plätz Klöntal (Im Plätz):This place is at the end of the lake. I can’t recommend it as I haven’t been here but the Google rating is okay.

Ascona’ya Nasıl Gidilir? Ascona Ulaşım

Ascona’ya ulaşım çok kolay. Locarno için verdiğim tüm ulaşım bilgileri Ascona için de geçerli, zira aralarında yukarıda da bahsettiğim gibi yalnızca 2 km var.

Eğer İsviçre içinde seyahat ediyorsanız hızlı trenle bir ya da iki kez tren değiştirerek Ascona’ya varabilirsiniz.

Eğer Zürih’ten geliyorsanız yol ortalama 200 km. İtalya’dan da Ascona’ya rahatlıkla geçebilirsiniz. Zaten Avrupa’da Schengen vizenizle seyahat ediyor olacağınız için, komşu ülkelerden de sorunsuz bir şekilde giriş yapabilirsiniz.

Arabayla Ulaşım

Eğer araçla seyahat etmek istiyorsanız ve İsviçre’nin kuzeyinden yola çıktıysanız Gotthard Tüneli’ni geçmeniz gerekiyor. Tünele arabayla Alman kantonu Uri’nin Göschenen kasabasından girersiniz, İtalyan kantonu Ticino’nun Airolo kasabasından çıkarsınız. Tam 16.9 km uzunluğundaki bu tünel sayesinde İsviçre’nin güneyi ve kuzeyi arasındaki yol yarım saat kısalıyor. Tünel yapılmadan önce dağların üzerinden Gotthard geçidinden gitmek gerekiyordu.

Ancak dikkat etmeniz gereken husus bu tünel yolculuğu kısaltabileceği kadar uzamasına da sebebiyet verebiliyor. Eğer kalabalık günlerde yola çıkarsanız dehşet bir trafikle karşılaşıp saatlerce yolda mahsur kalabilirsiniz. Özellikle Cuma akşamları İtalya yönüne, Pazarları da İsviçre yönüne gitmeye çalışırsanız trafiğe kalırsınız. Gotthard tünelinden hafta sonu uzak durmakta fayda var.

Ascona’ya geldiğinizde aracınızı Autosilo Comunale Ascona‘ya ya da Posteggio Lungolago‘ya park edebilirsiniz. Yer bulamazsanız da civarda birçok park alanı var. Şehir küçük olduğu için hepsi birbirine çok yakın.

Ascona’da Gezilecek Yerler: Ascona’da Ziyaret Etmeniz Gereken 7 Yer

1. Lungolago Di Ascona

Ascona’ya vardığınızda ilk olarak göl kenarına inip sahil boyunca yürüyüş yapmanızı tavsiye ederim. Daha sonra bir bankta oturup gölü ve dağları seyredebilirsiniz. ”Lungalago di Ascona”da yürüyüşe ek olarak, plajlarda yüzebilir, göl kenarındaki tesislerde açık ya da kapalı havuzlara girebilirsiniz.

2. Piazza Giuseppe Motta (G. Motta Meydanı)

Göl kenarına indiğinizde G. Motta Meydanını hemen göreceksiniz zaten. Meydanın çevresinde birçok restoran ve kafe var. Daracık Arnavut kaldırımlarını ve şehrin simgesi olan yan yana dizilmiş rengarenk evleri görebilirsiniz.

3. Borgo Old Town

Şehrin göl kenarında rahatlıkla bulunabilen tarihi kısmında dolaşırken, kısa süre sonra dar Arnavut kaldırımlı sokaklardan ve panjurlu evlerden oluşan küçük ama sevimli sokakları keşfedeceksiniz. Burası Ascona’nın alışveriş bölgesi. Dondurmadan giyime, hediyelik eşyalardan lüks saatlere kadar her şeyi burada bulabilirsiniz.

Brissago Adaları, Kanton Ticino’nun botanik parklarıdır. Küçük ada (Isola Piccola), kendiliğinden bitki örtüsü ile kaplıdır. 1950 yılında halka açılan büyük adada (Isola Grande) ise çoğunlukla kuzey ve güney yarım küreden gelen subtropikal bitkiler yetiştirilmektedir.

6. Küçük Turist Treni

Şehrin önemli noktaları görmenin en kolay ve eğlenceli yolu Locarno ve Ascona’yı turlayan bu küçük turist treni olabilir. Tur boyunca hem şehrin tarihini dinleyebilir hem de şehri seyredebilirsiniz. 30 dakika süren bu yolculuk için biletleri trene binince almanız gerekiyor. Turlar 19 Mart ile 24 Ekim arası yapılıyor ve ilk tur saat saat 11’de başlıyor.

7. Jazz Ascona: Ascona Jazz Festivali

Bu canlı festival, Ascona’daki 36. yılını kutluyor ve İsviçre’nin en büyük caz festivallerinden biri. Her sene Haziran ayının son haftası başlayıp 10 gün süren bu festivale katılmak isterseniz ziyaretinizi Haziran sonu, Temmuz başına denk getirebilirsiniz.

Ascona’ya Ne zaman Gidilir?

Ascona yılın her zamanı ziyaret edilebilir ancak İsviçre’de Akdeniz havası almak için en uygun aylar Haziran ile Ekim arası. En sıcak aylasa sırasıyla Temmuz, Ağustos ve Haziran.

Biz kaldığımız otelin restoranı Ristorante Al Braciere‘de yedik. İnanılmaz lezzetliydi yemekleri. Kestane ve av mevsimi olduğu için tüm yemeklerde kestane ve ana menüde geyik vardı. Locarno Gezilecek Yerler | Locarno Gezi Rehberi

İsviçre hiç şüphesiz dünyanın en güzel ülkelerinden biri. Genelde soğuk iklimi, kış tatili ve dağlarıyla turistleri kendine çekse de, İsviçre’nin aslında Akdeniz iklimine sahip, İtalya’nın tatil beldelerini aratmayacak güzellikte, küçük ama sıcacık bir şehri var: Locarno!

Locarno İsviçre’nin en sıcak iklimine sahip beldesi. Biz Locarno’yu ziyaret ettiğimizde Ekim ayı bitmek üzereydi ve hava yağışlıydı. Havanın kötülüğüne rağmen, sanki İtalya’nın yazlık bir kasabasına gelmiş gibi hissettik kendimizi. Zaten şehir İtalya’ya yalnızca 13 km uzaklıkta olduğu için İsviçre’den çok İtalya’da gibi hissediyorsunuz.

İsviçre’nin Locarno Şehri Nerededir?

Locarno, İsviçre’nin güneyinde yer alan ve İtalyanca konuşulan kantonu Ticino‘da yer alır. Alplerin eteklerinde Maggiore Gölü‘nün kuzey kıyısına kurulu Locarno, İtalya’ya yalnızca 13 km mesafededir. Maggiore Gölü’nün bir kısmı İsviçre’de gerisi de İtalya’da yer aldığından her iki ülkenin de ortak gölü.

Locarno’ya Nasıl Gidilir? Locarno Ulaşım

Locarno’ya ulaşım çok kolay. Eğer İsviçre içinde seyahat ediyorsanız hızlı trenle bir ya da iki kez tren değiştirerek Locarno’ya varabilirsiniz.

Eğer Zürih’ten geliyorsanız yol ortalama 200 km. İtalya’dan da Locarno’ya rahatlıkla geçebilirsiniz. Zaten Avrupa’da Schengen vizenizle seyahat ediyor olacağınız için, komşu ülkelerden de sorunsuz bir şekilde giriş yapabilirsiniz.

Arabayla Ulaşım

Eğer araçla seyahat etmek istiyorsanız ve İsviçre’nin kuzeyinden yola çıktıysanız Gotthard Tüneli’ni geçmeniz gerekiyor. Tünele arabayla Alman kantonu Uri’nin Göschenen kasabasından girersiniz, İtalyan kantonu Ticino’nun Airolo kasabasından çıkarsınız. Tam 16.9 km uzunluğundaki bu tünel sayesinde İsviçre’nin güneyi ve kuzeyi arasındaki yol yarım saat kısalıyor. Tünel yapılmadan önce dağların üzerinden Gotthard geçidinden gitmek gerekiyordu.

Ancak dikkat etmeniz gereken husus bu tünel yolculuğu kısaltabileceği kadar uzamasına da sebebiyet verebiliyor. Eğer kalabalık günlerde yola çıkarsanız dehşet bir trafikle karşılaşıp saatlerce yolda mahsur kalabilirsiniz. Özellikle Cuma akşamları İtalya yönüne, Pazarları da İsviçre yönüne gitmeye çalışırsanız trafiğe kalırsınız. Gotthard tünelinden hafta sonu uzak durmakta fayda var.

Locarno’ya geldiğinizde aracınızı Parcheggio Centro Castello‘ya park edebilirsiniz. Yer bulamazsanız da civarda birçok park alanı var. Fiyatlara buradan ulaşabilirsiniz.

Trenle Ulaşım

Tren biletlerinizi buradan alabilirsiniz. Eğer önceden bilet alırsanız (1 gün önce bile olabilir) bu siteden indirimli bilet alma şansınız var. Zürih yönünden geliyorsanız genelde Bellinzona‘da aktarma yapmanız gerekebilir. Yolculuk ortalama 2 saat sürüyor.

İtalya yönünden geleceksiniz, örneğin Milano’dan gelecekseniz de yine yukarıda linkini paylaştığım SBB’nin sitesinden biletinizi temin edebilirsiniz. Milano–Locarno arası da 2 saat 45 dakika sürüyor.

1- Lungolago di Locarno

Locarno sadece bir bankta oturup da gölü ve dağları seyredebileceğiniz güzellikte bir şehir. O yüzden trenden indiğiniz ya da arabanızı park ettiğiniz gibi göl kenarına ”Lungalago di Lorcarno”ya gidip sahil boyunca yürüyün, daha sonra bir banka oturup manzarayı seyredin.

Palmiye ağaçlarıyla kaplı bu sahilde yürüyüşe ek olarak, plajlarda yüzebilir, göl kenarındaki tesislerde açık ya da kapalı havuzlara girebilirsiniz.

2- Old Town – Piazza Grande

Göldeki gezintinizi tamamladıktan sonra hemen yukarıya eski şehire doğru yola koyulun. Şehrin kalbinin attığı şehir meydanı Piazza Grande‘yi bulacaksınız. Mükemmel bir şekilde restore edilmiş 19. yüzyıldan kalma binalarla çevrili bu meydanda 1164 senesinden beri gelenek haline gelmiş ve her perşembe düzenlenen bir açık hava pazarını da ziyaret edebilirsiniz.

Ayrıca daha önce de bahsettiğim gibi bu meydanda her sene Ağustos ayında Uluslararası Film Festivali düzenlendiğinde meydan tam bir açık hava sineması haline geliyor. Sırf bu festivale katılmak için bile Ağustos ayında gidilebilir Locarno’ya.

3- Madonna del Sasso Tapınağı

Gelelim şimdi Locarno’nun en ilginç yerine. Efsaneye göre Meryem Ana’nın Locarno manastırı rahiplerinden Bartolomeo’ya görünmesi üzerine açılmış Locarno kayaları üzerine bu ibadet yeri. Tapınak aynı zamanda en popüler hac noktalarından da biridir.

Deniz seviyesinden 370 m yükseklikte yer alan bu kiliseye çıkmak için yaklaşık 20 dakika sürecek merdivenli bir yolu çıkmanız gerekiyor.

Yol boyunca İsa’nın sırtında haç ile yürürken verdiği molaları temsilen şapeller bulunuyor. Kesinlikle yürüyerek çıkmalısınız çünkü yol boyunca hem manzara mükemmel, hem de hacıların yürüdüğü bir yol olduğu için de ilgi çekici.

Ancak yürümek istemezseniz buradaki füniküler seçeneğiniz de var.

Füniküler saatleri: 08.05 – 19.35 arası her 15 dakikada bir hareket ediyor. Bilet fiyatları gidiş-dönüş 7.20 Frank, tek yön ise 4.80 Frank. Buradan güncel fiyatları kontrol edebilirsiniz.

Ayrıca kilisenin bir bölümünde önemli sanat eserlerini de gerek büyük boyutlu heykellerle gerekse resimlerle görebilirsiniz.

4- Visconteo Kalesi Arkeoloji Müzesi

Ocak 2004’te İtalyan tarihçi Marino Vigano, bu kalenin Leonardo da Vinci tarafından tasarlanmış olabileceğini söyledi ve 7 yıllık çalışmaların ardından bir Da Vinci projesi olarak kabul edildi.

Artık bir arkeoloji müzesi olan Castello Visconteo, eski şehrin hemen yanı başında yer almaktadır. Bugün, 15. ve 16. yüzyıllardan orijinal yapının sadece beşte biri kalmış, gerisi yeniden inşa edilmiş.

5- Camellia Park

Göl kenarındaki bu şirin bahçelerde, baharda güzel kokulu kamelya çiçeklerinin arasında dolaşabilirsiniz. Park tam 850 çeşit çiçeğe ev sahipliği yapıyor.

Park labirent gibi bir dizi bölümden oluşuyor ve parkta dolaşırken hem kuş sesleri hem de gölün dalgalarının sesiyle meditasyon tadında bir yürüyüş yapabiliyorsunuz. Giriş ücretsiz.

6- Verzasca Vadisi

Verzasca Vadisi, yaklaşık 300 km olan geniş bir patika ağına sahip. Gölde yürüyüş yapabilir, spor parkurlarındaki aktivitelere katılabilir, dağ yürüyüşleri yapabilirsiniz.

Adrenalin tutkusunuysanız bungee jumping yapabilirsiniz. Tıpkı James Bond’un Altın Göz filminin giriş sahnesinde yaptığı gibi. 220 metre yükseklikten, Verzasca Vadisi ağzının dar kayalık duvarlarının arasından atlayabilirsiniz. (Ben hayalini dahi kuramıyorum korkudan haha)

Burası için tam bir gün ayırmanız gerekiyor. Eğer o kadar vaktiniz yoksa, sabah erkenden Locarno’yu turlayıp, öğleden önce Verzasca Vadisi’ne geçebilirsiniz.

7- Moon and Stars Müzik Festivali

Locarno ve Ascona’da Romantik Hafta Sonu

Gözümü açtığımda Stefano yanımda uyumuyordu. Uyur uyanık saati kontrol ettiğimde sabaha karşı 4 olduğunu gördüm. Salonun ışığı yanıyordu. Seslenip ne yaptığını sorduğumda hafta sonu uzakta olacağımız için biraz çalışıp birkaç işi bitirmesi gerektiğini, bu yüzden erken kalktığını söyledi. (Sonradan öğreniyorum ki erkenden kalkmış ki evi süslemiş, sonra da dışarı çıkıp doğum günü pastası almış.)

Saat 8’de evden çıkıp trene yetişmemiz gerek. 7’de alarmın sesine uyanıp, ilk iş mutfağa gidip kahve yapmak istiyorum. Ama Stefano beni aceleyle tuvalete doğru iteklediği için kahve potunu dolduramadan tuvalete gidiyorum. Çıktığımda küçük bir pasta ve bir zarf ile karşılıyor beni. Doğru ya 30. yaş günüm bugün!

Çocukluğumdan beri nedenini bilmediğim bir şekilde en hevesle beklediğim yaş 30. Sanki 29’un son saatlerinden 30’un ilk saatlerine geçerken inanılmaz bir aydınlanma yaşayacakmış, hayatın anlamını keşfedecekmiş gibi bekledim bu günü. Sanki hayatta bir level daha atlamış olacağım, adeta kozadan bir kelebek olarak çıkacağım. Tabii hiçbiri olmadığı gibi, ben daha da ufaldığımı hissediyorum içeride bir yerlerde.

Zarfı açtığımda içinde bir kart, kartın üzerinde de 14 madde vardı ve hepsinin üzeri birer kağıt parçasıyla kapalıydı. O sırada etraftan bir polis sireni sesi geldi. ”Çok hızlı yaş alırken yakalandın. 30 yaş sınırını geçerek, hız sınırını ihlal ettin, tutuklusun!” diye bağırmaya başladı Stefano asdf. ”Serbest kalmak istiyorsan kartta yer alan 14 görevi de başarıyla yerine getirmelisin.”

Tüm hafta sonunu maddeler haline getirmiş. 2 gün boyunca bir sonraki planımızın ne olduğunu bilmeden yalnızca kartta yazanlara bağlı kalarak geçirdim. Sokağın ortasında aniden bir polis sireni çalıyor, ben dahil herkes etrafına bakıyor, ses nereden geliyor anlamaya çalışıyoruz. Stefano’dan geliyor tabii siren sesi haha. ”5. görevini yerine getir yoksa hapsi boylarsın” diyor.

İşte bu adam da 32 yaşına girdi 2 gün önce asfgfg.

Babam babaannemin gardrobuna girer, peruklarını takar, elbiselerini giyer, hepimiz bahçede otururken birden bahçeye girer, hepimizi korkuturdu. Sanırım kadınlar gerçekten de babalarına benzeyen adamları eş olarak seçiyor kendilerine haha.

Neyse Stefano da o hesap işte. Aldık elimize kartı, madde madde geziyoruz. İsviçre’nin İtalyan bölgesi Ticino‘ya geldik. Maggiore gölünün en kuzeyinde yer alan Locarno‘da indik trenden.

Ne kadar sevindiğimi anlatamam çünkü biraz da olsa İtalya havası almak çok iyi gelecekti İsviçre’nin Alman bölgesindeki soğuklardan sonra.

Yaklaşık 2 saat sürüyor Locarno ve yaşadığımız kasaba Horgen arası. Horgen Zürih‘e trenle 15-20 dakika mesafede. Zürih’ten yola çıkacaklar için de yine bindiğiniz trene bağlı olarak 2 saat, 2 saat 15 dakika sürecektir.

Locarno’ya vardığımızda saat 10 olmuştu. Kahvaltı yapmak için hemen Locarno tren istasyonunun yanındaki Caffè Locarno‘ya girdik.

Cappuccino’su gerçekten çok lezzetliydi. Özellikle Zürih civarındaki kahvelerden sonra İtalya’ya bir adım daha yaklaştığınızı sırf cappuccino’nun tadından bile anlayabilirsiniz!

Ancak kruvasan maalesef çok iyi değildi. Yani aslında bizim beklentilerimizi karşılamamasının sebebi biz kruvasan siparişi verdiğimizde İtalyan usulü kruvasan ”cornetto” gelir diye ummuştuk ancak İsviçre usulü ”gipfeli” getirdiler. Stefano da ben de pek gipfeli sevmiyoruz. Eğer siz de bizim gibi İtalyan kruvasanları tercih ediyorsanız, mutlaka ”cornetto” diye sipariş verin. ”Croissant” diye verirseniz gipfeli geliyor. Bu arada cornettoların üzerine hafif pudra şekeri döküyorlar. Tamamen tuzlu isterseniz gipfeli tercih etmelisiniz.

Kahvaltıdan sonra gözüme ilk çarpan şey Chicoree kadın giyim mağazası oldu. Zürih’teki fiyatların neredeyse yarısı olunca bir alışveriş çılgınlığı yapmak istedim ancak Stefano’nun başka planları olduğundan 2. güne bıraktık.

Locarno merkezi biraz yürüdükten sonra Madonna del Sasso‘yu ziyaret etmek için yola koyulduk. Merkezden yalnızca 1.4 km mesafede olmasına rağmen yola koyulduk diyorum çünkü Madonna del Sasso tağınağı tepede konumlanmış ve şehrin tamamını görebileceğiniz, deniz seviyesinden 370 m yükseklikte. Kiliseye çıkmak için birkaç basamak merdiven çıkmanız gerekiyor.

Bu kilisenin en önemli özelliklerinden biri önemli bir hac destinasyonu olması, bir diğeri de Ölü Mesih’e Ağıt, Son Akşam Yemeği gibi eserlerin heykellerinin ve resimlerinin bulunması.

Kiliseyi ve ufak müzesini ziyaret ettikten sonra dışarı çıkıp Locarno şehrini tepeden seyredaldık.

Saat yavaş yavaş 1’e geliyordu ve birkaç saattir durmadan yürüdüğümüz için epey acıkmıştık. Karttan bir kağıt parçası daha kopardım ve bir sonraki görev olan, bundan sonra dünyanın en lezzetli pizzası olarak adlandıracağım Roma usulü pizza ”Pinsa Romana” yemek için L’Archetto‘ya gittik. İddia ediyorum bundan daha lezzetli bir pizza yememiş olabilirsiniz!

Bu pizzalar Roma usulü yapılıyor. Küçücük bir yer. Bahçesinde 2 tane masası var. Genelde take away tarzı iş yapıyor anlaşılan. Ancak o kadar lezzetli ve farklı bir pizza ki ben çok beğendim. Hatta o kadar beğendim ki hemen tarifini aldım! Evde denemek isterseniz diye aşağı iliştiriyorum !

Pinsa Romana Tarifi

Locarno’dan ayrılıp yavaş yavaş Ascona’ya geçmeye karar verdik. Locarno ve Ascona arası yalnızca 2 km, bu sebeple yürüyerek rahatlıkla varabilirsiniz. Biz de yavaş yavaş yürümeye ve sonbaharın en güzel renkleri arasında kaybolmaya koyulduk.

Ascona, Locarno’ya göre daha bir sahil kasabası havasında. Hala İsviçre’de olduğunuzu fark ediyorsunuz ama bir yandan da İtalya’nın küçük tatil beldelerini andırıyor. Pandemi yüzünden olsa gerek çok fazla insan yoktu sokaklarda. Hatta neredeyse bomboştu her yer. Bu durum romantik hafta sonu konseptimize uygun olduğu için çok da rahatsız etmedi bizi haha. Yaz ayları gelmek lazım buraya, o zaman her yer cıvıl cıvıldır kesin.

Banklarda biraz oturup ördekleri seyrettik. Köşedeki dondurmacıya gidip külahta birer dondurma aldık ve banklara geri döndük. Dondurmacı tam merkezde göl kenarında L’ Angolo dei Golosi adında bir yer. Üzülerek söylüyorum ama kötüydü dondurması 🙁

Ancak yine İtalya’daki dondurmalar ile kıyasladığımı belirtmek isterim. İsviçre standartlarında düşünecek olursak çok kötü değil. Ancak İtalya’ya yalnızca birkaç km uzaklıkta olup da bir dondurmanın bu kadar kötü olması kabul edilebilir gibi değil haha.

Hemen biraz ilerisinde Gelateria Pippo diye bir dondurmacı var. Daha sonrasında Google yorumlarına bakarken buldum. Önünde uzun kuyruklar oluyormuş. Burayı deneyebilirsiniz. Denerseniz bana da haber edin!

Biraz göl kenarında yürüdükten sonra şehri turladık. Zaten Locarno da Ascona da o kadar küçük ki bir çırpıda her yere gidebiliyorsunuz. Akabinde akşam kalacağımız otele doğru yola çıktık. Epey bir yorulduğum için Stefano’ya toplu taşıma vs. bir şeye binelim diye ısrar ettim. Ancak ”maksimum 10 dakikaya varırız yürüyerek” dediği için ona saf saf inandım ve en az bir buçuk saat, yağmurun altında sırılsıklam olarak, ormanın içinde, çamura bata çıka yürümek zorunda kaldık. Zorunda kaldık diyorum çünkü o ormanın o dik yollarına bir kere tırmanmaya başlayınca, o çamurda geri döneyim derken kayıp düşme riskini göze alamadığımız için ilerlemek zorunda kaldık!

Her seyahatimizde mutlaka olduğu gibi bu seyahatte de Stefano ile ormanda mahsur kalmak? Done!

Otelin adı Panorama Hotel Elisabetta. Yolunuz Ascona’ya düşerse mutlaka burada kalmanızı tavsiye ederim. Öyle bir manzarası var ki otelin, insanın ağzı açık kalıyor cidden. İlk başta sisli olduğu için manzarayı pek anlayamadık. Böyle görünüyordu;

Ancak bir süre sonra manzara şuna evrildi;

Ee bize de odamızın balkonunda manzaranın keyfini çıkarmak kaldı :p

Akşam yemeğini otelin restoranı Ristorante Al Braciere‘de yedik. Kestane ve av mevsimi olduğu için tüm yemeklerde kestane ve ana menüde geyik vardı. Çok iyi bir şefleri var. Her yemekte kestane olmasına rağmen hiç bıkmadan ve aynı lezzeti almadan tüm yemeklere bayıldık. Bu otelde kalmasanız bile restoranında yemek yemenizi tavsiye ediyoruz.

Ertesi gün eve dönüş trenimiz öğleden sonra olduğu için sabah erkenden kalkıp otelde kahvaltı yaptık. Bu arada otelde konakladığınız süre boyunca otel size ücretsiz toplu taşıma kullanabileceğiniz bir bilet veriyor. Biz de bu biletle otelin önünden bir otobüse binip Ascona şehir merkezine geri döndük.

Stefano geri yürümeyi teklif etti tabii hadsiz asddg üstelik hava inanılmaz yağışlıydı. O yüzden sağda solda çok dolanmadan ben dün yarım bıraktığım işi tamamlamak üzere Chicoree’nin yolunu tuttum ve biraz alışveriş yaptım.

Daha sonra tadı damağımda kaldığı için kahvaltıdan daha maksimum 2 saat önce kalkmış olmamıza rağmen dünkü Roma pizzacısına gittik ve ben bir de pizza yedim haha. Stefano yiyemedi. Ben tabii Türk kaslarıma kuvvet asdf. Dünkünün aynısından sipariş verdim.

Trene binene kadar Locarno’da yürüyüş yaptıktan sonra trene binip eve dönüş yoluna koyulduk.

Kah gülerek kah atışarak bir kısa gezimizin ve doğum günü kutlamamızın da sonuna gelmiş olduk böylece.

Except for one condition: She had the opposite view about the bells attached to the necks of the cows. She was making statements to remove the bells. The Cantonal authorities didn’t like it. As a result, they didn’t naturalize Nancy due to the fact that she rejected Swiss culture.

When starting my first article, it was not very difficult for me to decide which country to start from. Although I was born and raised in Turkey, I travelled more in Switzerland from the moment I settled in this country when I was 26 years old, in 4 years. Well, the fact that Switzerland is a small country also has a great impact on this.

1- What’s the Meaning of The Name and the Flag of Switzerland?

Switzerland is officially the Swiss Confederation and in Latin, it’s Confoederatio Helvetica. This is where the abbreviation CH comes from.

At the end of the 14th century, when Swiss soldiers were going to war, they began to wear emblems with a white cross on a red background in order to distinguish themselves from their enemies.

As you know, the reason they chose this symbol was that it was also a sign of Christian belief. Later, they used this emblem primarily as a seal and then as a military flag. And in 1889 it was adopted as the national flag.

All other flags in the world are rectangular. The Swiss flag is square. This makes the Swiss flag one of the two square flags among the world flags. Another square flag belongs to the Vatican.

The emblem of the Red Cross foundation looks just like the Swiss flag, right? In fact, this emblem was designed in honor of the Swiss Henri Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross, on the basis of the Swiss flag and was created as a red cross on white by changing the colors of the background with the cross only.

The core of Turkish Red Crescent’s flag is actually based on the Swiss Flag. Only the sign of the cross has taken the shape of a moon in Muslim countries.

2- Where is Switzerland?

Switzerland is located in Western Europe, with its de facto capital Bern (because Switzerland technically does not have a capital city), with its neighbors Germany in the north, Italy in the south, France in the west, and Austria and Liechtenstein in the east. It is a tiny country that makes people feel like rather in a large city due to its distance to neighbor countries.

But unfortunately, Switzerland doesn’t have a coast to the sea. Although this is not a problem for travelers, it is a bit of a problem for those like me who live here and pine for the sea all the time. If we take Zurich Lake as an example, the water temperature rises to 28 degrees in summer. So we can get a little bit of a sea feeling.

Switzerland doesn’t have an official capital. The de facto capital of Switzerland is Bern. Bern is Switzerland’s 5th largest city, with a population of 133,000. The founder of the city, Duke Berchtold V. Berchtold, wanted to name the first animal he encountered on a hunting trip to the city, and he was the first to come across a bear. That is why the city was named “bern“, which is the plural of the German word bear, Bären, in the language of that region.

6- Which Language Is Spoken in Switzerland?

Now, this topic is a bit complicated. There are 4 official languages ​​in Switzerland: German, French, Italian and Romansh. The federal government has to use all 4 languages. Even in parliamentary meetings, all 4 languages ​​are translated simultaneously.

I watched the head of the Confederation speaking to the public about Covid-19 recently. Their explanation started first in German, then in French, then in Italian.. (it goes on like this)

The most spoken language is German, which is 64% of the population. French is next, with a rate of 24%. While the Italian-speaking population is around 9%, Romansh is spoken by 0.5% of the population in the canton of Graubünden alone.

As it is not enough to have 4 official languages, of course, each language has a different dialect. It would be very accurate to say that all dialects are different languages ​​on their own. While standard German, French, Italian, and Romansh are used in official areas such as newspapers, radio, and television, the language spoken by the people in each region differs.

* Swiss German

For example, I live in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The people here speak Swiss German, which is quite different from standard German. Like that is not enough, the Swiss-German also has many dialects, because why not?

You are encounter different dialects in each region, and you may find that people from different cantons have a great deal of difficulty understanding each other. For this reason, people who have difficulty understanding each other’s dialects can solve the situation by speaking standard German.

* Swiss French

While Swiss French is the second most spoken language in the country, it is said that there is little difference from standard French. Swiss-French speakers pronounce the vowels much longer than standard French speakers. This makes them seem to speak slow. (That’s what people told me at least)

* Swiss Italian

In the region where Swiss-Italian is spoken, the situation seems a bit complicated. Swiss Italian is somewhat a mixed language, including some German and French words.

* Romansh

And finally, there is another language called Romansh. It’s an interesting language that comes from the Romani language family just like French and Italian. However, it takes its present form by being influenced by the Celtic and Retsina languages ​​of the time.

The Romans conquered the present-day Grisons (Graubünden) region in the 15th century BC, where the Celtic and Retsina languages ​​spoken by the indigenous people. The Italian of the Romans blended over time and this language called Romansh was formed.

There might be very few people speaking this language, but Romansh has exactly 5 dialects. And even these dialects have become so different over time that two people speaking two different dialects of Romansh cannot understand each other and begin to speak Italian or German in order to communicate!

There is also English of course. Although the Swiss states that they do not like to speak English in their own country (because of nationalist feelings), every individual in Switzerland speaks at least two languages, mostly several languages. Especially in big cities, English is spoken by everyone as if it is the mother tongue of the country.

7- What is the Population of Switzerland?

The population of the country is only 8.5 million. The majority of the indigenous population is the elderly. However, another vast majority of the population (25%) consist of foreigners, which means that almost half of the young population are foreigners.

The majority of the foreign population is Italians, followed by Germans, Portuguese, French, Serbs, Turks, Spaniards, and Austrians. Among the Asian races, Switzerland is home to the most Tamil refugees fleeing the civil war in Sri Lanka.

Especially Zurich hosts so many foreign people that you will inevitably hear English being spoken on the streets.

9- 9- What is the Swiss Climate Like?

The weather in Switzerland is cold, ice cold. However, I will write that the climate in Switzerland is mild because the sources state it as a temperate climate. But I know that the climate is cold, very cold. The photo below is from January.

But OK, don’t want to exaggerate, because the temperature varies enormously from region to region. For example, the Ticino region, which is the border with Italy, is hot. After all, it borders with Italy. But he region close to Germany is quite cold.

Even though the summers are not like Sicilia, they are as hot as Istanbul, but the summer does not last long. It will be hot for 1-2 months (under the best conditions), then the weather starts to cool again.

It rains all year, but mostly in summer. In these periods when it rains a lot, warm winds called blow-dry winds blow through the south of the Alps.

10- Politics of Switzerland

First of all, yes, what is said about direct democracy is true.

Since the introduction of the 1848 federal constitution, Switzerland has been governed by direct democracy, a system of government based on constitutional initiative and referendum. This means that if a group of citizens who do not accept a law approved by the parliament and want to have the public questioned can collect 50,000 signatures within 100 days after the law is passed, they can request a referendum.

According to the result of the referendum, a decision is made to accept or reject the law. In addition, Swiss people can request a constitutional amendment using their constitutional initiative rights. For this, they only need to collect 100,000 signatures and then they can submit their request for amendments to the national vote.

In Switzerland, there are two assemblies called the Swiss Parliament (Federal Assembly) and the Federal Government. Federal Assembly is formed by the Council of States and the National Council. The Council of States has 46 members; 2 members from each canton and 1 from each half canton(!). Elections to the National Council are held with a proportional representation system. The council has 200 members.

The presidency duty belongs to the Federal Government, which consists of 7 members elected from Switzerland’s most voted political parties. In other words, the state in this country is not governed by a single party or a single person, but by 7 people elected from different parties. One of the seven persons forming the council to carry out the presidency is elected as the President of the Swiss Confederation for a year.

Switzerland consists of 26 cantons, 23 of which are full and 3 are half. The cantons of Basel, Appenzell and Unterwalden consist of two half cantons, and these half cantons cannot send 2 members to the State Council like full cantons. They have the right to send only 1 member each: ‘( Cruel other cantons!!

11- Religion in Switzerland

There is no state religion in Switzerland. However, in this country Christians are obliged to pay taxes to churches. Citizens who do not want this tax have to leave their religion and deregister from the church. Otherwise, they have to continue paying taxes to the church.

Almost 40% of Switzerland is affiliated to the Roman Catholic Church and approximately 31% to Protestant sects. They are overly devoted to their sects, and some villages have some signs as “This village is Catholic” or “This village is Protestant” at the entrances. Oh, these crazy Swiss…

12- Economy of Switzerland

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate… No wonder that a country that produces such excellent chocolates is ranked first in the world in terms of per capita consumption of chocolate.

It would be right to say Switzerland is one of the most stable national economies in the world. It has one of the richest markets in the world. It ranks 4th in the national income per capita ranking.

While the people in Switzerland mostly work in the finance, banking and trade sectors, other important sectors of the country’s economy are tourism and industry. Companies such as Swatch, Nestle and two of the world’s largest banks, UBS and Credit Suisse, are based in Switzerland and the purchasing power is very high.

Switzerland is often very expensive for a tourist from anywhere in the world. But salaries are high here and life is not expensive for those who work and live in Switzerland. (I know it’s questionable, but the bold word above is important). Even a person with minimum wage can eat outside, have a few glasses of drink with friends, eat a healthy and varied diet, spare time and money for hobbies, and travel a couple of times a year. What else to ask for?

Let’s have a look at the history of Switzerland, which has no problem with anyone but itself! In this brief history of Switzerland article, I will be sharing the short history of Switzerland from prehistoric to nowadays. I promise you won’t be bored even if you are not interested in history! 🙂

Brief History of Switzerland – Prehistory

We’ve gone pretty back, but it may be of interest to those who are interested in prehistoric times. Archaeological evidence has been found that in the northern part of the Alps in Switzerland, during the Paleolithic period, hunter-gatherers settled in this region 150,000 years ago. Until the Neolithic period, the population in this region was quite dense.

But the oldest remains is a hand axe that was shaped by Homo Eractus 300,000 years ago. Celtic tribes settled in the region around 1500 BC. While the Reatians settled in the East region, the west side was occupied by the Helvetians.

Brief History of Switzerland – Roman Empire Time

In 58 BC, when the Helvetians took the road to settle in Gaul to escape from the pressure of nomadic Germanic tribes, they were stopped, defeated and their lands were occupied by Julius Caesar’s armies. Over time, the Alpine people in these regions were integrated into the Roman Empire. Then the region was thoroughly romanized for the following centuries.

The region started to become Christian in the 3rd and 4th centuries. However, the Roman Empire collapsed when the Germanic tribes entered the region in 476 AD. While the Burgundians, one of the Germanic tribes, settled in the west, the Alamanians settled in the north. They forced the Celtic-Roman population living here to slowly retreat to the mountains.

Later, the region was ruled for a long time by another Germanic tribe, the Franks’ Caroling Dynasty. Then it was changed hands several times by different dukes and kings. Imagine how many Game of Thrones was filmed in the country.

Brief History of Switzerland – Medieval period

On 1 August of 1291, representatives of three forest cantons (Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden) signed the Federal Declaration, which is accepted as the founding document of Switzerland. Today, August 1 is celebrated as a national holiday.

In 1353, in addition to these three forest cantons that united for the first time, the cantons of Glarus and Zug and the city-states of Lucerne, Zurich, and Bern joined the union, and the “Old Federation” consisting of eight states was established.

Meanwhile, Zurich was expelled from the confederation in 1440 due to a territorial dispute but was later taken back. Later on, other cantons started to join the federation one by one. The independence of Switzerland, which was a state under the Holy Roman Empire until 1648, was recognized by the European countries with the Westphalian Peace Treaty.

As additional information, the Swiss soldiers were so disciplined and successful that the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church of the time II. Julius hired Swiss soldiers as guards to protect the Vatican. The Swiss soldiers are still responsible for protecting the Vatican.

Brief History of Switzerland – French Invasion

The French Revolution armies occupied Switzerland in 1798. They enforced a new constitution that forcibly centralized the government of the country and abolished the cantons. The Helvetian Republic was established in this region. The Swiss people revolted frequently, but unfortunately, due to the presence of French troops, the riots didn’t succeed.

Switzerland was later invaded by other states such as Austria and Russia. However, not everyone in Switzerland wanted to go back to the old cantonal times, as Switzerland was divided between “Republicans” who supported the central government and “Federalists” who wanted the cantons to regain autonomy.

At that time, Napoleon Bonaparte enacted the Mediation Act, bringing both sides together in Paris in 1803, which largely restored Switzerland’s autonomy.

In the year 1815, the Vienna Congress and the independence and neutrality of Switzerland were recognized by all European powers. At that time, Switzerland made its last expansion in history, with the cantons of Valais, Neuchatel and Geneva joining the federation.

Brief History of Switzerland – The Swiss Civil War and the Swiss Federal Constitution of 1848

When the year shows 1845, Switzerland has experienced one of the most important civil wars in its history. What’s the reason? I am Protestant, you are Catholic, how do we get along?

7 Catholic cantons gathered and formed a union called Sonderbund. (One of these cantons is Zug, the canton where I work. They are still very religious that religious holidays are more than most other cantons. For example, a day when my husband working in Zurich has to go to work (they don’t count it as a religious holiday because Zurich is Protestant), I am on holiday because it is a religious holiday in Zug, who is a Catholic).

Anyway, the Protestants who heard that the Catholics founded Sonderbund, immediately declared war. This civil war lasted 27 days, with nearly 100 casualties, and this civil war went down in history as the last armed conflict in Swiss history.

The Federal Constitution was adopted after the civil war in 1848 and the referendum was implemented. With this constitution, a central authority was established and it was decided that the cantons would govern themselves in local matters. However, after the industrial revolution, many changes were made to the constitution and the cantons were given more control over local matters.

Brief History of Switzerland – Switzerland During World Wars

Switzerland took a side neither in the 1st World War nor the 2nd World War and did not participate in both wars. Only during World War II, Germany said that they would attack Switzerland, but such an attack never happened. During World War II, Switzerland was used as a base for espionage and often mediated communication between the two sides.

Since the Swiss franc was the only major currency in the world that can be freely converted during World War II, all countries started to sell large amounts of gold to the Swiss National Bank.

Unfortunately, hundreds of millions of francs of this gold were plundered from the central banks of the occupied countries. Only the gold, stolen from the victims of the genocide and sold to Swiss banks, amounted to 581,000 francs.

Brief History of Switzerland – Modern Switzerland

As we know, Switzerland is not a member of the European Union. In fact, they applied to the European Union in 1992. But when the people refused to enter the EEA in the referendum, they did not make any attempt to enter the European Union again.

However Swiss law is in line with EU laws and Switzerland has many agreements with the European Union. Switzerland, which is not a member of the European Union, has joined the Schengen agreement because it was asked to the public by referendum and accepted with a 55% vote.
