What is Zürcher Geschnetzeltes?
This Zürcher Geschnetzeltes dish from the city of Zurich in Switzerland means “Zurich slicing”. This Zurich-style sauteed meat with cream and mushrooms has a very tasty and practical recipe. Swiss people prepare this recipe from veal, pork, chicken or turkey meat as well as game meat during hunting season.
Ingredients for Zürcher Geschnetzeltes
- 600 grams of beef cut into strips
- A few shallots and one regular onion
- 250 grams of thinly sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 200 ml white wine
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 200 g of cream
- 1 teaspoon of grated lemon
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
How to Make Zurich-Style Meat Saute with Cream and Mushrooms?
- Heat the pan and add the butter.
- Put the meats into the pan that is heated over high heat and remove it from the pan before leaving the juice.
- Reduce the heat of the stove, put the onions in the pan and saute lightly.
- Add mushrooms and cook a little.
- Then add flour and mix well.
- Add the white wine and boil.
- Then add the cream and boil a little more.
- Add the lemon peel and spices and mix.
- Add the previously cooked meat to the sauce and meat. Cook for a few more minutes.
- Sprinkle parsley on top and serve immediately.
How to serve Zürcher Geschnetzeltes?
