This dish, the signature of the French Alps, has a very simple recipe. Let’s take a look at the Tartiflette recipe.

Ingredients for Tartiflette Recipe

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 200 grams of smoked bacon
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 500 grams of Reblochon cheese
  • 150 ml of milk
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

How to Make Tartiflette Recipe?

  1. Set the oven to 200 ° C.
  2. Add cold water and some salt in a pot and boil the potatoes in the pan.
  3. Let the boiled potatoes cool.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a pan.
  5. Chop the onions and garlic into cubes and put in the pan.
  6. Cut bacon into several pieces and add to the pan. Cook with onions for a while.
  7. Then add the white wine and cook for a few more minutes.
  8. Peel the cooled potatoes and cut them into rings.
  9. Lay half of the potatoes in a baking pot and sprinkle salt and pepper.
  10. Add half of the bacon onion mixture on top.
  11. Add a little bit over half the sliced ​​cheese and repeat this process one more time.
  12. Pour milk over the food you have placed in the baking pot and put it in the oven.
  13. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the top of the dish turns brown.
