İsviçre’de İş Bulmak Kolay mı?

Öncelikle İsviçre’de çalışmak, İsviçre’de iş bulmak, Avrupa’daki diğer ülkelerde iş bulmaktan bir tık zor. Çünkü firmaların sizi işe alması, kabul etmesi yetmiyor.

Siz firmayla tüm şartlarda anlaştınız diyelim, firma sizinle çalışmaya çok hevesli. Bu aşamada işverenin göçmen ofisine sizin adınıza başvuru yapması ve sizinle çalışıp çalışamayacağını resmi olarak sorması gerekiyor.

Bu aşamada göçmenlik ofisi firmayı şu soruları yöneltiyor. ‘’Bu kişiyi neden işe alıyorsun? Bu kişinin yapacağı işi bir İsviçreli yapabilir mi? Yapabilirse önce İsviçreli birini bu pozisyona aramalısın.’’

Diyelim ki İsviçreli birinin yapabileceği bir iş değil. Bu durumda da göçmenlik ofisi firmaya şu soruyu yöneltecek. ‘’O halde bu işi bir Avrupa Birliği vatandaşı yapabilir mi? Neden AB vatandaşı olmayan birine ihtiyacın var? Bu Türk, bir İsviçrelinin ya da bir Avrupalının yapamayacağı neyi yapabilecek?’’

Tüm bu sorulara anlaştığınız firmanın öyle bir cevap vermesi gerekli ki, göçmenlik ofisi sizin ile girmeniz konusunda firmaya onay vermeli. İşte bu sebeple her yerde İsviçre’de iş bulmanın zorluklarından bahsediliyor. Yani aslında iş bulmak çok büyük sıkıntı değil, asıl sorun devletin maalesef İsviçre vatandaşları ve AB üyesi ülkeler dışından ülkeye giriş istememesi. Girecekse de ülkeye çok büyük yararınız olması gerektiğini düşünüyorlar.

İsviçre’de Çalışmak İçin Hangi Dil Gerekli?

İsviçre’de 4 resmi dil var: Almanca, Fransızca, İtalyanca ve Romanşça. Federal hükümet bu 4 dili de kullanmak zorunda ve hatta meclis toplantılarında 4 dilde de eş zamanlı olarak çeviri yapılıyor.

En yaygın dil nüfusun %64’ünün konuştuğu Almanca. Hemen ardındansa %24 gibi bir oranla Fransızca geliyor. İtalyanca konuşan nüfus sayısı %9 civarındayken, Romanşça, yalnızca kanton Graubünden’de nüfusun %0.5’i tarafından konuşuluyor (ki bu hepi topu 50.000 kişi gibi bir şey).

4 resmi dilin olması yetmiyor tabi, bir de her bir dilin ayrı bir lehçesi bulunuyor ve hepsi başlı başına birer dil desek çok isabetli olur. Resmi makamlarda, gazetelerde, radyo ve televizyonda standart Almanca, Fransızca, İtalyanca ve Romanşça kullanılırken, her bölgede halkın kendi içinde konuştuğu dil farklılık gösteriyor.

Dolayısıyla iş yerinde konuşulacak dil de hangi kantonda olduğunuza göre değişiyor. Alman kantonlarında Almanca, Fransız kantonlarında Fransızca ve İtalyan kantonlarında İtalyanca bilmeniz %80 şart. Geriye kalan %20’lik kesimde ise İngilizce ve ek dillerle iş bulmanız mümkün.

Mesela ben iş yerinde yalnızca İngilizce ve Türkçe konuşuyorum. Almanca veya diğer dilleri kullanmıyorum, bilsem de benim yaptığım işte işime yaramazdı.

İsviçre’de Sadece İngilizce Bilerek İş Bulabilir miyim?

Evet. Sadece İngilizce bilerek iş bulmak, İsviçre’de çalışmak mümkün. Ama sadece İngilizce ile iş bulmak için bunun yanında başka vasıflarınızın da olması şart. İngilizce bilerek Finans, IT sektörlerinde çalışabilirsiniz. Ama sağlık sektöründe, turizm sektöründe iş bulamazsınız. Beyaz yakalı iseniz iş bulabiliyorsunuz kısacası. Ancak iş diğer insanlarla iletişime geçeceğiniz, insanlarla konuşmak üzerine bir iş ise genelde Almanca, Fransızca ya da İtalyanca şart oluyor.

Benim çalıştığım firmada herkes İngilizce konuşuyor. Bir finans firmasında satış görevlisi olarak çalışıyorum ve satış yaptığım ülke Türkiye. Dolayısıyla gün içinde müşterilerimde sürekli Türkçe konuşuyorum. Ofiste ise iş arkadaşlarımla İngilizce konuşuyorum. Siz de bu tarz bir iş bularak yalnızca İngilizce bilerek işinizi yapabilirsiniz.

İsviçre’de Çalışmak İçin Hangi Seviyede Almanca Bilmeliyim?

İsviçre’de Almanca bilginizle bir iş bulmak istiyorsanız resmi olarak B2 seviyesinde Almanca bilmeniz gerekiyor. Ancak bu her zaman şirkete, işin türüne ve pozisyona bağlı olacaktır. Bazı işlere B1 seviye Almanca ile girebilecekken, kimi için ana dil Almanca şartı aranmaktadır. Tamamen değişiklik gösteriyor yani duruma göre.

Bu arada yukarıda belirttiğim gibi, iş arayacağınız kantona göre değişiyor bilmeniz gereken dil. Eğer Fransız kantonlarda iş arayacaksanız B2 seviye Fransızca ve İtalyan kantonlarda iş arayacaksanız B2 seviye İtalyanca gerekmektedir.

Kimi iş yerlerinde Almancaya ek olarak Fransızca ya da İtalyanca, İtalyancaya ek olarak Almanca, Almancaya ek olarak İngilizce gibi şartlar aranıyor. İsviçre çok dilli bir ülke olduğu için kimi zaman tek bir dil bilmek maalesef yeterli olmayabiliyor.

İsviçre’de Çalışmak için Almanca mı, Fransızca mı yoksa İtalyanca mı daha faydalı?

Kesinlikle Almanca İsviçre’de en işinize yarayacak dildir diyebiliriz. Ülke nüfusunun çoğu Alman kantonlarında yaşamakta olup, en çok iş imkanı Alman kantonlarda mevcut. Aynı zamanda Alman kantonlar, diğer dillerin konuşulduğu kantonlara göre çok daha yüksek maaş veriyor. Sıralayacak olursak en çok iş imkanı olan ve en yüksek maaşları veren kantonları şu şekilde sıralayabiliriz.

İsviçre’de İş Başvuruları Nasıl Yapılır?

İsviçre’de size uygun bir iş bulduğunuzda, başvurunuzun değerlendirileceğinden emin olmak için İsviçre standartlarında bir özgeçmiş ve motivasyon yazısı (Cover Letter) hazırlamanız gerekiyor. Bazı iş başvurularında alternatif belgeler istenebilir ancak genel olarak hazırlamanız gereken temel iki belge CV ve Cover Letter‘dır.

Başvuru yaparken bilmeniz gereken en önemli şey, sadece CV göndererek yapacağınız başvurular çoğu zaman yapay zeka tarafından direkt elenecektir. Yani CV’niz insan kaynakları tarafından görüntülenmeyecektir bile. Mutlaka ‘’Cover Letter’’ hazırlamanız gerek.

Cover Letter da başvuru yaptığınız firmaya yazdığınız, neden o firmada çalışmak istediğinizi, firmaya neler katabileceğinizi anlattığınız tek sayfalık bir mektup.

Eğer daha büyük bir şans yakalamak isterseniz her firmaya ayrı ayrı Cover Letter yazmanızı tavsiye ederim. Ama tek bir Cover Letter hazırlayıp, başvuru yaptığınız firmaya göre mektupta birkaç değişiklik yaparak güncelleyebilirsiniz her seferinde.

İsviçre’de İş Mülakat Süreci Nasıldır?

İsviçreli işverenlerle yapılan görüşmeler aslında Türkiye’deki iş görüşmelerine benziyor. En büyük farkı sürecin çok daha uzun sürmesi olabilir. Mülakatlar bazen 3 bazen 4, bazen daha fazla seanslar şeklinde düzenlenir. Tek bir kişi ile görüşmezsiniz.

İşverenlerin mülakatlarda sorduğu bazı sorular alışkın olduğunuzdan daha kişisel olabilir. Evli misiniz? Çocuğunuz var mı? Yakın zamanda çocuk yapmayı planlıyor musunuz? Psikolojik rahatsızlığınız var mı? Migren gibi sizi işten zaman zaman alıkoyacak hastalıklarınız var mı? gibi sorular sorulabilir.

Bazı büyük şirketlerde başvuru süreci psikometrik test ve değerlendirmeyi içerebilir. Bu genellikle görüşme aşamasında gerçekleşir.

Şirketler onlar hakkında ne kadar araştırma yaptığınızı, firma hakkında ne kadar bilgi sahibi olduğunuzu bilmek ister. Bu sebeple mülakattan önce firma hakkında mutlaka fikir edinin. Hatta gerekirse firmanın yaptığı faaliyetlerden neleri beğendiğinizi, neleri eleştirdiğinizi ve bu eleştirdiğiniz şeyi nasıl daha iyi hale getirebileceğinizden bile bahsedebilirsiniz.

İlk mülakat genellikle İnsan Kaynakları ile olur. İkinci mülakat departmandan iş arkadaşlarınızla, üçüncü mülakat müdürünüz olacak kişiyle, dördüncü mülakat ise daha yüksek mertebede bir yöneticiyle olur. Bazen tek tek, bazen herkesin bir arada olduğu komite şeklinde mülakatlara girebilirsiniz.

Ancak korkmayın, ne kadar rahat olursanız o kadar çok şansınız olacaktır. İsviçre’de resmiyet önemlidir ancak dozunu aşmadan samimi hareketler de kabul görür.

Şirket sizi beğenir ve iş teklif ederse, önceki işverenlerden, yöneticilerden 2-3 iyi iş referansı sağlamanız gerekecektir. Bu referanslar tek sayfa ve önceki iş yerlerinizdeki iş verenleriniz tarafından yazılmış ve imzalanmış olmalırdır.

Varsa diplamalarınızı, eğitim durumunuzu gösteren belgeleri de teslim etmeniz gerekiyor.

Bunun dışında ek belge istenirse sizinle yeniden iletişime geçilecektir.

İsviçre’ye Çalışmak İçin Nasıl Gidilir?

İsviçre’de çalışabilmek için oturum ve çalışma iznine ihtiyacınız var. Bu izinler çalışacağınız ve yaşayacağınız kantonların Göçmenlik Ofisleri tarafından verilmektedir. Gerekli evraklarınızla ilgili kantonun göçmenlik ofisine başvurmanız gerekiyor. Akabinde birkaç haftalık bazen 1 aylık bir sürenin ardından oturum izniniz veriliyor.

İsviçre’de Çalışma Vizesi Hangileridir?

İki tip izin çeşidi var.

• Bunlardan birisi kısa süreli (1 senelik) L tipi vizeler.

• Diğeri uzun süreli B tipi vizeler

• Ve de süresiz C tipi izinlerdir.

İsviçre’de Oturum İzni Nasıl Alınır?

Öncelikle çalışma vizesi çıkarmanız gerekiyor. Bunu İsviçre konsolosluğuna direkt olarak başvuru yaparak almanız gerek.

İsviçre’ye çalışma vizeniz ile geldikten sonra ise İsviçre oturum izni alma işlemleri ülkeye girdikten sonraki 14 gün içerisinde tamamlanmalıdır.

Oturum izni başvurusu yapacak kişinin göçmenlik bürosuna başvurması ve oturum izni için randevu alarak, randevu günü oturum izni prosedürüne uygun gerekli evrakları teslim etmesi gerekmektedir.

İsviçre’de Hangi İş Yapılır?

İsviçre’de Günde Kaç Saat Çalışılıyor?

İsviçre iş kanununa göre normal çalışma saatleri haftada en fazla 45 saat olmalıdır. Bu da günde 9 saate tekabül ediyor. Bu 9 saate öğle molası dahildir.

Ancak İsviçre’de çalışma saatleri işverene, pozisyona ve çalışılan sektöre göre değişiklik gösterebilir. Örneğin, tam zamanlı görevlerde bulunan kişiler genellikle haftada ortalama 41 saat çalışır. Öte yandan, bankacılık gibi özel sektördeki endüstriler, haftada 42 saat civarında daha uzun saatler çalışma eğilimindedir. Hastaneler, catering ve oteller ise ortalama 45-48 arasında olmasına rağmen haftada 60 saate kadar çalışabilir. 

Bir iş gününde, en az 30 dakikalık öğle yemeği molaları da verilecektir. Ancak, bazı şirketler, öğle yemeğinin yaklaşık bir buçuk saat olmasını bekliyor. Bu nedenle, süre genellikle işverene bağlıdır.

İsviçre Çalışma Vizesi Nasıl Alınır?

İsviçre çalışma vizesi için önce İsviçre’de faaliyet gösteren bir şirket ile iş sözleşmesi yapmanız ve iş daveti almış olmanız gerekiyor. Şirketten gelen davet mektubunda; hangi pozisyonda, ne kadar süre ile şirkette çalışacağınız, her ay ne kadar maaş alacağınız belirtilmelidir. Çalışacağınız yer ile ikamet edeceğiniz yer arası uzak ise yol ve yemek karşılanıp karşılanmadığı belirtilmelidir.

İsviçre çalışma izni başvurunuz İsviçre’deki yetkili olan kantona, yani yaşayacağınız yerin göçmenlik bürosuna gönderilecektir. İsviçre Başkonsolosluğu, yetkili kantondaki göçmenlik bürosu onaylamadığı takdirde talep edilen çalışma vizesine onay verememektedir.

Çalışma vizesinin çıkma süreci 8-10 hafta arasında sürebilmektedir.

İsviçre’de Çalışma Hakları Nasıldır?

İsviçreliler çalışan haklarına büyük önem verir. Çalışma saatlerinizden fazla çalıştığınız zaman bu saatler size ya ödenir, ya da tatil olarak almanız istenir.

Kaza sigortanızı şirket yapar. Herhangi bir kaza geçirdiğinizde hiçbir ücret ödemezsiniz.

Hastalanmalarda, en ufak şikayetlerinizde çalışmaya ara verebilirsiniz. Doktor raporu almadan 3 güne kadar evde istirahat edebilirsiniz.

İsviçreliler işte sosyalleşmeye çok önem verir. Mutlaka düzenli olarak sosyal aktiviteler düzenlenir ve bu aktivitelere katılım sağlamanız beklenir.

Eğer iş yerinde size mobbing uygulandığını hissederseniz, mobbing ile ilgili mercilere başvurabilirsiniz. Bu konu iş yerlerince çok ciddiye alınır.

The Swiss are real animal lovers. Many laws protect animals. For example, some pet owners have to take courses on how to look after them. There’s almost no place you can’t go with your dogs. You can go to restaurants with them and your dog can dine with you in the restaurant.

If you want to have a social pet, such as guinea pig, budgerigar, or goldfish, you need to own at least 2 of them. If one of your guinea pigs dies, you have to buy a new one right away or rent him a mate until the other dies. You should take your horses and cows regularly to move around and have them run and play.

The subject of a referendum in 2010 was whether animals could also have a lawyer. But it was rejected by the majority of people.

This staircase is not open to the public. The public run is organized once a year for people to enjoy the scenery and to sweat off.

6-The world’s longest funicular is located here

Fortunately, we are not likely to climb the stairs mentioned above. Or would we miss this opportunity?

Instead, you can go to the station and get on the Niesenbahn and easily reach the hill with a 30-minute journey. This is Europe’s longest funicular and has been operating since 1910.

7- Switzerland is ready to explode anytime

It may sound a bit paranoid, but all important entry points (tunnels, bridges, etc.) to Switzerland are mined against any foreign invasion. In fact, engineers who build Alpine tunnels and bridges also have to report on how these tunnels will be blown up as soon as possible.

9- They have shelters called country houses

You will see incredibly beautiful chalets amongst the mountains. But no one lives inside and it is full of ammunition. The Swiss army seems to be hiding these heavy weapons bunkers for tough times.

Military service ends, but friendship with a gun does not. You have to look after your gun like it’s a part of you. If Switzerland is attacked, you have to go out and shoot whatever comes in front of you with your old friend! The sport of shooting with rifles is very common as well. However, despite all this armament, Switzerland is one of the countries with the lowest gun deaths in the world.

Although it is not one of the first things that come to mind when talking about interesting information about Switzerland, another interesting information is this anti-power point political party. This political party aims to reduce the use of Power-Point and other presentation programs.

37- Swiss climate is not just about snowy mountains

In cannabis sold in Switzerland, this THC substance is reduced to less than 1% and CBD is left active. Therefore, the cannabis you buy from the market does not make you high. It only makes you sleepy and numbs your body. It is used so much that it is inevitable to smell cannabis from every corner while walking on the streets.

40- Sundays are protected by a long law

On Sundays, activities such as lawn mowing, hanging laundry, car washing or littering in recycling areas are prohibited in order not to disturb the peace of the public. In addition, you should not make any noise after 10 pm.

Examples of these are slamming the car door, flushing the toilet, drying hair, etc. In some areas, this rule stretches until midnight. In multinational and young populated cantons such as Zürich, these rules are much more flexible. In fact, I think the situation is partly related to whether your neighbours are Swiss or not. Swiss people are quite strict about the rules.

Swiss men marry at the age of 32 and women at the age of 30 and have their first child at the age of 30.4 (which makes them the youngest mothers in Europe). Divorce rates are about 43%. They are very fond of their freedom apparently.

Women in Switzerland gained the right to vote and be elected only in February 1971, very recently. However, this does not mean that women are given rights in all of Switzerland.

Since each canton has the authority to make its own decisions, it was until 1990 that women were given the right to elect and be elected in the Appenzell canton of Switzerland. Unbelievable for a country that looks so modern, right? Besides, it’s not only about having the right to vote and be elected.

Unfortunately, salaries still vary by gender. Even if they have the same education, the same experience, the same age and work exactly in the same position, men are paid more than women even today.

75% of cows in Switzerland are dehorned. Now the newborns are born genetically polled. The Swiss farmer said, “We must respect them as they are. We must leave them with their horns. When you look at them, their heads are always up, as if they are proud. But they look sad when you cut their horns ”. But unfortunately, the Swiss rejected this case that was brought to the referendum.

50- A canton in Switzerland denies a Dutch woman’s request for citizenship because of her opinion about cowbells.

Dutch Nancy was 8 years old when she settled in Switzerland. She was able to speak fluent Swiss German and fulfil any requirement for citizenship. Except for one condition: She had the opposite view about the bells attached to the necks of the cows. She was making statements to remove the bells. The Cantonal authorities didn’t like it. As a result, they didn’t naturalize Nancy due to the fact that she rejected Swiss culture.

When starting my first article, it was not very difficult for me to decide which country to start from. Although I was born and raised in Turkey, I travelled more in Switzerland from the moment I settled in this country when I was 26 years old, in 4 years. Well, the fact that Switzerland is a small country also has a great impact on this.

1- What’s the Meaning of The Name and the Flag of Switzerland?

Switzerland is officially the Swiss Confederation and in Latin, it’s Confoederatio Helvetica. This is where the abbreviation CH comes from.

Swiss flag;

At the end of the 14th century, when Swiss soldiers were going to war, they began to wear emblems with a white cross on a red background in order to distinguish themselves from their enemies.

As you know, the reason they chose this symbol was that it was also a sign of Christian belief. Later, they used this emblem primarily as a seal and then as a military flag. And in 1889 it was adopted as the national flag.

All other flags in the world are rectangular. The Swiss flag is square. This makes the Swiss flag one of the two square flags among the world flags. Another square flag belongs to the Vatican.

The emblem of the Red Cross foundation looks just like the Swiss flag, right? In fact, this emblem was designed in honor of the Swiss Henri Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross, on the basis of the Swiss flag and was created as a red cross on white by changing the colors of the background with the cross only.

The core of Turkish Red Crescent’s flag is actually based on the Swiss Flag. Only the sign of the cross has taken the shape of a moon in Muslim countries.

2- Where is Switzerland?

Switzerland is located in Western Europe, with its de facto capital Bern (because Switzerland technically does not have a capital city), with its neighbors Germany in the north, Italy in the south, France in the west, and Austria and Liechtenstein in the east. It is a tiny country that makes people feel like rather in a large city due to its distance to neighbor countries.

But unfortunately, Switzerland doesn’t have a coast to the sea. Although this is not a problem for travelers, it is a bit of a problem for those like me who live here and pine for the sea all the time. But it should be noted that in this 41.285 km² country, there are exactly 7 huge thousand (7000) lakes and you can swim in these lakes without hesitating.

Some of them are at the top of the Alps, and their temperatures can fall to minuses. Still, I think you should definitely swim in one of those.

If we take Zurich Lake as an example, the water temperature rises to 28 degrees in summer. So we can get a little bit of a sea feeling.

3- What’s the Capital of Switzerland?

Switzerland doesn’t have an official capital. The de facto capital of Switzerland is Bern. Bern is Switzerland’s 5th largest city, with a population of 133,000. The founder of the city, Duke Berchtold V. Berchtold, wanted to name the first animal he encountered on a hunting trip to the city, and he was the first to come across a bear. That is why the city was named “bern“, which is the plural of the German word bear, Bären, in the language of that region.

6- Which Language Is Spoken in Switzerland?

Now, this topic is a bit complicated. There are 4 official languages ​​in Switzerland: German, French, Italian and Romansh. The federal government has to use all 4 languages. Even in parliamentary meetings, all 4 languages ​​are translated simultaneously.

I watched the head of the Confederation speaking to the public about Covid-19 recently. Their explanation started first in German, then in French, then in Italian.. (it goes on like this)

The most spoken language is German, which is 64% of the population. French is next, with a rate of 24%. While the Italian-speaking population is around 9%, Romansh is spoken by 0.5% of the population in the canton of Graubünden alone.

As it is not enough to have 4 official languages, of course, each language has a different dialect. It would be very accurate to say that all dialects are different languages ​​on their own. While standard German, French, Italian, and Romansh are used in official areas such as newspapers, radio, and television, the language spoken by the people in each region differs.

* Swiss German

For example, I live in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The people here speak Swiss German, which is quite different from standard German. Like that is not enough, the Swiss-German also has many dialects, because why not?

You are encounter different dialects in each region, and you may find that people from different cantons have a great deal of difficulty understanding each other. For this reason, people who have difficulty understanding each other’s dialects can solve the situation by speaking standard German.

* Swiss French

While Swiss French is the second most spoken language in the country, it is said that there is little difference from standard French. Swiss-French speakers pronounce the vowels much longer than standard French speakers. This makes them seem to speak slow. (That’s what people told me at least)

* Swiss Italian

In the region where Swiss-Italian is spoken, the situation seems a bit complicated. Swiss Italian is somewhat a mixed language, including some German and French words.

* Romansh

And finally, there is another language called Romansh. It’s an interesting language that comes from the Romani language family just like French and Italian. However, it takes its present form by being influenced by the Celtic and Retsina languages ​​of the time.

The Romans conquered the present-day Grisons (Graubünden) region in the 15th century BC, where the Celtic and Retsina languages ​​spoken by the indigenous people. The Italian of the Romans blended over time and this language called Romansh was formed.

There might be very few people speaking this language, but Romansh has exactly 5 dialects. And even these dialects have become so different over time that two people speaking two different dialects of Romansh cannot understand each other and begin to speak Italian or German in order to communicate!

There is also English of course. Although the Swiss states that they do not like to speak English in their own country (because of nationalist feelings), every individual in Switzerland speaks at least two languages, mostly several languages. Especially in big cities, English is spoken by everyone as if it is the mother tongue of the country.

7- What is the Population of Switzerland?

The population of the country is only 8.5 million. The majority of the indigenous population is the elderly. However, another vast majority of the population (25%) consist of foreigners, which means that almost half of the young population are foreigners.

The majority of the foreign population is Italians, followed by Germans, Portuguese, French, Serbs, Turks, Spaniards, and Austrians. Among the Asian races, Switzerland is home to the most Tamil refugees fleeing the civil war in Sri Lanka.

Especially Zurich hosts so many foreign people that you will inevitably hear English being spoken on the streets.

Switzerland’s currency is the Swiss Franc. Its international shortcode is CHF.

9- 9- What is the Swiss Climate Like?

The weather in Switzerland is cold, ice cold. However, I will write that the climate in Switzerland is mild because the sources state it as a temperate climate. But I know that the climate is cold, very cold. The photo below is from January.

But OK, don’t want to exaggerate, because the temperature varies enormously from region to region. For example, the Ticino region, which is the border with Italy, is hot. After all, it borders with Italy. But he region close to Germany is quite cold.

Even though the summers are not like Sicilia, they are as hot as Istanbul, but the summer does not last long. It will be hot for 1-2 months (under the best conditions), then the weather starts to cool again.

It rains all year, but mostly in summer. In these periods when it rains a lot, warm winds called blow-dry winds blow through the south of the Alps.

10- Politics of Switzerland

First of all, yes, what is said about direct democracy is true.

Since the introduction of the 1848 federal constitution, Switzerland has been governed by direct democracy, a system of government based on constitutional initiative and referendum. This means that if a group of citizens who do not accept a law approved by the parliament and want to have the public questioned can collect 50,000 signatures within 100 days after the law is passed, they can request a referendum.

According to the result of the referendum, a decision is made to accept or reject the law. In addition, Swiss people can request a constitutional amendment using their constitutional initiative rights. For this, they only need to collect 100,000 signatures and then they can submit their request for amendments to the national vote.

In Switzerland, there are two assemblies called the Swiss Parliament (Federal Assembly) and the Federal Government. Federal Assembly is formed by the Council of States and the National Council. The Council of States has 46 members; 2 members from each canton and 1 from each half canton(!). Elections to the National Council are held with a proportional representation system. The council has 200 members.

The presidency duty belongs to the Federal Government, which consists of 7 members elected from Switzerland’s most voted political parties. In other words, the state in this country is not governed by a single party or a single person, but by 7 people elected from different parties. One of the seven persons forming the council to carry out the presidency is elected as the President of the Swiss Confederation for a year.

Switzerland consists of 26 cantons, 23 of which are full and 3 are half. The cantons of Basel, Appenzell and Unterwalden consist of two half cantons, and these half cantons cannot send 2 members to the State Council like full cantons. They have the right to send only 1 member each: ‘( Cruel other cantons!!

11- Religion in Switzerland

There is no state religion in Switzerland. However, in this country Christians are obliged to pay taxes to churches. Citizens who do not want this tax have to leave their religion and deregister from the church. Otherwise, they have to continue paying taxes to the church.

Almost 40% of Switzerland is affiliated to the Roman Catholic Church and approximately 31% to Protestant sects. They are overly devoted to their sects, and some villages have some signs as “This village is Catholic” or “This village is Protestant” at the entrances. Oh, these crazy Swiss…

12- Economy of Switzerland

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate… No wonder that a country that produces such excellent chocolates is ranked first in the world in terms of per capita consumption of chocolate.

It would be right to say Switzerland is one of the most stable national economies in the world. It has one of the richest markets in the world. It ranks 4th in the national income per capita ranking.

While the people in Switzerland mostly work in the finance, banking and trade sectors, other important sectors of the country’s economy are tourism and industry. Companies such as Swatch, Nestle and two of the world’s largest banks, UBS and Credit Suisse, are based in Switzerland and the purchasing power is very high.

Switzerland is often very expensive for a tourist from anywhere in the world. But salaries are high here and life is not expensive for those who work and live in Switzerland. (I know it’s questionable, but the bold word above is important). Even a person with minimum wage can eat outside, have a few glasses of drink with friends, eat a healthy and varied diet, spare time and money for hobbies, and travel a couple of times a year. Archaeological evidence has been found that in the northern part of the Alps in Switzerland, during the Paleolithic period, hunter-gatherers settled in this region 150,000 years ago. Until the Neolithic period, the population in this region was quite dense.

But the oldest remains is a hand axe that was shaped by Homo Eractus 300,000 years ago. Celtic tribes settled in the region around 1500 BC. While the Reatians settled in the East region, the west side was occupied by the Helvetians.

Brief History of Switzerland – Roman Empire Time

In 58 BC, when the Helvetians took the road to settle in Gaul to escape from the pressure of nomadic Germanic tribes, they were stopped, defeated and their lands were occupied by Julius Caesar’s armies. Over time, the Alpine people in these regions were integrated into the Roman Empire. Then the region was thoroughly romanized for the following centuries.

The region started to become Christian in the 3rd and 4th centuries. However, the Roman Empire collapsed when the Germanic tribes entered the region in 476 AD. While the Burgundians, one of the Germanic tribes, settled in the west, the Alamanians settled in the north. They forced the Celtic-Roman population living here to slowly retreat to the mountains.

Later, the region was ruled for a long time by another Germanic tribe, the Franks’ Caroling Dynasty. Then it was changed hands several times by different dukes and kings. Imagine how many Game of Thrones was filmed in the country.

Brief History of Switzerland – Medieval period

On 1 August of 1291, representatives of three forest cantons (Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden) signed the Federal Declaration, which is accepted as the founding document of Switzerland. Today, August 1 is celebrated as a national holiday.

In 1353, in addition to these three forest cantons that united for the first time, the cantons of Glarus and Zug and the city-states of Lucerne, Zurich, and Bern joined the union, and the “Old Federation” consisting of eight states was established.

The independence of Switzerland, which was a state under the Holy Roman Empire until 1648, was recognized by the European countries with the Westphalian Peace Treaty.

The French Revolution armies occupied Switzerland in 1798. They enforced a new constitution that forcibly centralized the government of the country and abolished the cantons. The Helvetian Republic was established in this region. The Swiss people revolted frequently, but unfortunately, due to the presence of French troops, the riots didn’t succeed.

Switzerland was later invaded by other states such as Austria and Russia. However, not everyone in Switzerland wanted to go back to the old cantonal times, as Switzerland was divided between “Republicans” who supported the central government and “Federalists” who wanted the cantons to regain autonomy.

At that time, Napoleon Bonaparte enacted the Mediation Act, bringing both sides together in Paris in 1803, which largely restored Switzerland’s autonomy.

In the year 1815, the Vienna Congress and the independence and neutrality of Switzerland were recognized by all European powers. At that time, Switzerland made its last expansion in history, with the cantons of Valais, Neuchatel and Geneva joining the federation.

7 Catholic cantons gathered and formed a union called Sonderbund. (One of these cantons is Zug, the canton where I work. They are still very religious that religious holidays are more than most other cantons. 1- Visa

The first and most important thing you should know before traveling to Switzerland is undoubtedly the visa. Make sure to check if you need a visa to enter Switzerland.

I think the answer to this question is; always! If you have snowy mountains, skiing, sledging, chalets in your mind, of course, the winter months (January, February) are a better choice. But if you want to travel to more cities and hike in the mountains, May, June and September are more suitable.

If you want to visit the Christmas markets, you should come in the first weeks of December. If you want to swim in the lakes when the weather is very hot, I then recommend July and August. But there is a possibility that the whole of August will be rainy as the summers are very rainy here. You better come with the first opportunity without thinking about it too much 🙂

3- Time Difference

Switzerland uses a single time zone, Central European Time (CET: UTC+01:00). They also observe summer time, shifting to Central European Summer Time (CEST: UTC+02:00).

Swiss Franc. 1 CHF is this much. It is impossible to find places that don’t accept credit cards in big cities. But when you go to towns, it is very difficult to find places that accept credit cards. Be sure to carry cash with you.

I also recommend that you apply sunscreen before you go hiking, so be sure to take your sunscreen.

There are 7 international airports in Switzerland. To go to Zurich, as you can fly directly to Zurich airport, you can also fly to Basel airport and take a 1-hour train to Zurich from Basel.

There are many options for accommodation in Switzerland. Hotels can be very old-fashioned because they are generally centuries old. But of course, there are also many great hotels.

If you do not want to stay in a hotel, you can do Airbnb, stay in a hostel, or if you do not want to spend money on accommodation, you can stay in a house of a local at no cost by doing Couchsurfing.

It varies depending on where you stay, but accommodation prices in the small towns start at CHF 40. Hotel accommodation in Zurich starts at CHF 60.

11- Domestic / International Transportation

Switzerland has one of the best public transportation systems in the world. Trains, ships, buses, all means are immaculate. The train, which should depart at 16.03, leaves at exactly 16.03. If there will be a few minutes delay, they will let you know in advance. It is possible to go everywhere by train both in the city and in the country. You can actually travel by train just for the view. It’s really spectacular.

Train / Bus / Tram

You can buy your train, bus, and tram tickets (a single ticket is valid in all) either from the ticket machines at the stations, from the ticket centers in the big stations, or online. If you buy tickets online, you have a chance to find cheap tickets.

You don’t pay separately for each public transport you take in Switzerland. With one ticket, you can use all kinds of public transportation in the region where the ticket is valid, within the hours the ticket is valid, and you can travel unlimitedly.

I must warn you about the prices because they can be pretty expensive. My advice is to always buy your tickets as a round trip. All the tickets you buy as return tickets are valid for 24 hours, and you can use all the public transportation vehicles in the region where you purchased the ticket unlimitedly within 24 hours.

Besides, you don’t have to show your tickets or have them read by any machine. From time to time, the officers who check the ticket get on at any stop and check the ticket. These controllers are usually in uniform, and sometimes they dress as civilians.

You may not be controlled several times. But this shouldn’t be a reason not to buy a ticket next time. Because if you get caught, the fine is CHF 100!

Ferry

Ferries require a separate ticket and prices are not standard. For example, we only pay CHF 1.50 to the ferry to cross the lake from Horgen (where we live) to Meilen. This ticket is not purchased from SBB (Swiss National Transport Company). When you get on the ferry, they come and collect the money in cash.

Swiss Pass

If you want to buy a Swiss pass that goes everywhere in the country, you can get it online here. Don’t be discouraged by the price of the pass. For example, the 3-day ticket is CHF 232. But if you are planning to go to many different parts of the country, this card offers the best price. However, if you are staying in the same area in general, I recommend you to buy a daily ticket.

However, if you are staying in the same area in general and you’re not planning long train journeys, I recommend you buy a daily round-trip ticket.

Bicycle

I should mention that transportation is one of the most expensive things in Switzerland. If the prices don’t fit your budget, you can go anywhere by bike. For example, there is a company in Zurich where you can rent a bike for free. You only give CHF 20 deposit and leave your passport, when you deliver the bike in the evening, you get your money and passport back.

Cable Car / Funicular / Gondola

These are widely used to go to the mountains. Depending on the height of the mountain you are going to, you may have to get on one of the funiculars or transfer by cable car several times on the way. You can check out some of the important destinations from here.

Flixbus

You can travel at very very affordable prices with Flixbus, the bus company between cities and countries.

Car

Renting a car in Switzerland is not very expensive. Gasoline is cheap, so it can be an option for large groups. However, if you want to drive on the highway, you need to get a CHF 40 vignette (vehicle sticker) valid for one year to allow you to pass the tolls.

12- Ethics

Swiss people generally prefer to shake hands with the people they meet for the first time. Friends, colleagues, and family members kiss on the cheek 3 times. First right, then left, then right again.

While hiking, you are expected to greet those who come across or pass by. They look into your eyes to get your greetings.

I guess it doesn’t sound strange that Swiss people see being late as a big shame. In the end, Switzerland is the land of the clocks. They neither like to be late nor do they like to wait.

While they toast, they wait for the attention of everyone at the table to be in the glasses. They make a toast with everyone one by one, and the main thing is to make eye contact. You have to look into the eyes of the person with every glass you hit.. It took me a while to get used to it haha.

13- What to Buy?

Watch, Swiss army knife, cow mug, chocolate, cheese, fondue set, Heidi-themed souvenirs, raclette machine, cuckoo clock, or Kirch can be purchased from Switzerland as a gift.

14- People

Swiss people are a little more reserved than other European people. I don’t know how correct it is to generalize, but I think we can generalize a little bit 🙂 They are not very extroverted and they avoid being friendly and sincere with people they don’t know. They are a bit like walnuts, hard-shelled, but very cheerful and pleasant when they open themselves up.

Of course, it can take years to get to this stage, so when you come for touristic purposes, do not worry when you see that they do not chat with you much and avoid talking. That doesn’t mean they’re mean and angry. On the contrary, they are quite genial and kind people.

They don’t want to argue with anyone, so they usually keep their opinions to themselves. But when it comes to rules and they see you break them, the monster inside them comes out haha.

15- Clothing

Swiss people generally dress comfortably but elegantly. You won’t see many women wearing high heels unless they go to work. Even if they do, they wear short heels.

Swiss people attach great importance to quality clothing, but there is no exaggeration. They are simple and stylish. So when you are going somewhere at night or attending a party, you may feel like you are overdressed compared to the Swiss ladies.

The streets are full of people running and walking all the time. On weekends, they go for mountain hikes. For this reason, sportswear is generally more common. You can go anywhere with your sneakers, no one will find it odd 🙂

16- Security

Switzerland is one of the safest countries in the world. Whether you are an alone woman or with your children, you feel safe walking through this country. Apart from Bern, I haven’t come across beggars anywhere yet. On the other hand in Zurich, I neither saw a homeless person on the street nor was someone stalking or disturbing me.

Normally, I am afraid of walking alone in the street at night. But I can walk here at 4 in the morning without looking back. (Inheritance from Istanbul) In addition, when something is lost, it usually comes back to you in some way. Someone finds it and sends it to you or when you investigate, you find out that it was delivered to the lost warehouse.

For example, I noticed that I lost my credit card when I saw the bank sent me a new card while checking the mailbox. It turns out that I dropped my credit card, someone found it, called the bank, reported the loss, and the bank sent me a new card.

Or, after shopping, if you forget your shopping bag on the train, someone will find it and leave it at the lost property office and you can reach the item you forgot immediately.

Of course, it is always useful to be careful, but you can come to Switzerland with peace of mind.

I think the biggest danger in this country is the weather! Be sure to check the weather before going out. Especially if you are going to the mountain, you may experience problems because of the weather. I recommend this site.

You can drink water from the tap in Switzerland. My personal opinion is that tap water tastes better than most bottled water. In addition, every corner of this country is full of fountains. Hiking

One of the most important activities to do in Switzerland is mountain hiking. From here you can find walking routes in Switzerland. You can often witness 70-year-old people walking uphill in the mountains without panting, don’t feel bad 🙂

Bicycle

Spa

There are incredibly beautiful hot springs and spa facilities in Switzerland with mountain and lake views, don’t go back without visiting one of them.

Night life

Nightlife is one of the things you should know before going to Switzerland. Don’t expect incredible nightlife in Switzerland. It is relatively busy Friday and Saturday nights only in big cities, but apart from that, everywhere is generally quiet. Nightclubs are generally like bars and small.

International ex-pat groups are very active here. You can constantly come across new groups. Concept parties such as masquerade parties, costume parties, and neon parties are held every week. Museums

If your trip is going to be long and you want to visit many museums during this period, you can get the Swiss Museum Pass. This is a subscription where you can visit more than 500 museums for 166 francs.

But if you are in Switzerland for a short time and are planning to see major museums then for example, if you are in Zurich, you can get a Zurich card, so you can enter 43 museums in Zurich for free or at a discount, and you can also use public transportation free of charge during your card’s validity. The price of the Zurich card is 27 francs for 24 hours and 53 francs for 72 hours.

19- Tip

You are not expected to tip in Switzerland, because the service charge is already added to the bill. However, Swiss people do not neglect to leave a tip of 10% of the bill to show that they like the food or service.

20- Drinking Culture

Although Switzerland is not very famous for its wines (they consume it within the country rather than export), it is actually a wine country. You can come across a vineyard everywhere during your journey.

Apart from wine, beer consumption is also very common. Each canton has its own beer. Since different spices are used in the production of local beers, the taste of these beers is very different from the usual beers.

The German drink Kirsch is also produced in the country. The Swiss people add this drink to their ingredients while making cheese fondue.

21- Swiss Food

Swiss people consume too much meat and cheese. Food quality is very high in Switzerland, but since their cuisine is not very rich, it is not really easy to find delicious dishes. However, it is not difficult to find the food you want, as there are restaurants from all over the world in the country.

You may be surprised by the abundance of vegan or vegetarian restaurants in big cities such as Zurich. The largest restaurant chains are generally vegan chains. However, you may find it difficult to find a vegetarian option as more meat is consumed in towns and villages.

The country’s national dishes are Rösti, Cheese Fondue and Raclette.

22- Is It Expensive?

Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries in the world. Although the Italian region is somewhat low priced, especially the German region is very, very expensive for tourists. Prices are high if you plan to eat and drink outside, but not that expensive to buy at the grocery store.

If you want to have a low-budget holiday, I recommend that you stay away from restaurants and bars. Instead buy your drink and food from the markets. Especially Lidl and Aldi (German Market Chains) are budget-friendly and you can find cheap products in these markets. However, Migros and especially Coop are expensive.

For example; While you can buy a can of beer for CHF 0.49 in Lidl, you can buy it for a minimum of CHF 2 in Coop.

A simple dish that you can order at a restaurant starts at CHF 20. A serving of food and a glass of wine in a normal standard restaurant costs an average of CHF 40.

A cappuccino at a cafe costs around CHF 5, a beer CHF 10, and a glass of wine around CHF 12. (However, there are places where you can find a wine for CHF for 5)

I have mentioned transportation and accommodation above, these are also expensive.

This is one of the most interesting Swiss dishes. Although it looks like ”sarma” in appearance, it is made by wrapping spätzle dough and dried meat inside chard leaves. These prepared sarmas are cooked in a mixture of milk, water and broth and served with grated cheese.

1. Bircher Müsli

Zamanında hastalara ağır yemekler yedirmemek için İsviçreli bir doktor olan Maximilian Bircher Benner tarafından oluşturulan bu karışım, şimdilerde İsviçrelilerin kahvaltılarının olmazsa olmazı olmuş. Geceden ıslatılan yulaf, yoğurtla karıştırılıyor, içine meyve ve kuruyemiş eklenerek Bircher müsli hazırlanıyor.

2. Peynir Fondü

İsviçre yemekleri dendiğinde akla ilk gelen, İsviçre mutfağının tartışmasız en popüler yemeği peynir fondü. İlk olarak, yiyecek kıtlığının yaşandığı dönemde ellerindeki kurumuş ve bayatlamış ekmekleri ve peynirleri tüketebilecekleri bir yöntem bulmak isteyen İsviçreliler tarafından yapılmış.

Kış aylarında tercih edilen bu yemek, eritilmiş peynirin içine, beyaz şarap, sarımsak, mısır unu ve biraz da kiraz likörü katılarak hazırlanır ve seramik bir tencerede altında da küçük portatif bir ocak ile servis edilir. Ekmek parçaları uzun fondü çatallarına saplanır ve fondünün içine batırılarak yenir.

Ancak dikkat, İsviçre geleneklerine göre olur da ekmeğiniz çatalınızdan kaçar ve fondünün içinde kaybolursa şarkı söyletilerek veya karda çıplak koşturularak cezalandırılabilirsiniz 🙂

3. Raclette

Fondü gibi Raclette de kış ayları tercih edilen, bizim ocakbaşı konseptini aratmayan bir yemek. Sofranın ortasına raclette ızgarası konuyor ve ızgaranın altında herkesin kendi peynirini pişirebileceği küçük tavalar bulunuyor. Eriyen peynir ya haşlanmış patatesin ya da ekmek parçalarının üzerine dökülerek servis ediliyor. Izgaranın üzerindeyse tercihe göre et, sosis, pastırma, mantar, biber gibi yiyecekler pişiriliyor.

4. Rösti

İsviçre’nin en meşhur patates yemeği olan Rösti, rendelenmiş patateslerin kızartılmasıyla yapılıyor. Dışı gevrek, içi ise yumuşak olan bu patates rendesine pastırma, soğan, peynir ve elma püresi ekleniyor.

5. Bratwurst

Bratwurst her ne kadar Alman menşeli olsa da İsviçrelilerin de en temel gıdalarından biri. Şehirlerin sokaklarında gezinirken de karşınıza her köşe başında çıkabilecek bir lezzet. Bizim dönerciler gibi, burada da fast food olarak en yaygın bratwürstçüler mevcut.

6. Zürcher Geschnetzeltes

Kanton Zürih’in imzası sayılabilecek bu yemek kuşbaşı ete beyaz şarap, mantar ve kremalı sos eklenerek yapılır ve genelde yanında rösti ile servis edilir.

7. Brezel

İsviçre kahvaltılarının vazgeçilmezlerinden biri de Brezel. Türkiye’deki simitlere çok benziyor, susamsız simit gibi. Fırın, pastane, market ya da kafe, her yerde bulunabiliyor ve sade çeşitlerine ek olarak, salamlı, peynirli hatta tatlı çeşitleri de mevcut.

8. Papet Vaudois

Patates püresi ve pırasanın beyaz şarapla uzun süre ağır ağır pişirilmesiyle elde edilen ve üzerine domiz sosisi konularak servis edilen bu yemek de İsviçre yemeklerinin en geleneksellerinden biri.

9. Tartiflette

Asıl vatanı Fransa olan Tartiflette, patatesin en güzel hallerinden biri. İnce ince dilimlenmiş patateslerin üzerine lardon (bir çeşit küp şeklinde kesilmiş domuz pastırması) , soğan, krema ve peynir eklenerek fırında pişirilen bu yemek İsviçre’de en çok tüketilen yemeklerden biridir.

10. Et Fondü (Fondue Chinoise)

Adından da anlaşılabileceği üzere anayurdu Çin olan bu et fondü özellikle Noel zamanı yenen gelenekselleşmiş bir yemektir. İncecik dilimlenmiş dana eti, sofrada bulunan fondü tenceresindeki et suyuna batırılır ve bir iki dakika et suyunun içinde bekletilerek pişirildikten sonra yenir.

Eskiden daha çok et suyu yerine yağda kızartılan yağ fondüsü (Fondue Bourguignonne) tercih edilirmiş ancak şimdilerde hem daha sağlıklı hem daha kokusuz olan et suyunda pişirilen versiyonu tercih ediliyor.

11. Älplermagronen

Makarna, peynir, haşlanmış patates ve domuz etinin karışımından oluşan bu yemek, üzerine karamelize soğan sosu ve elma püresi eklenerek yenir. Ülkeye Gotthard tüneli inşa edildikten sonra İtalyanlar sayesinde içli dışlı oldukları makarnaya, Alpler’de yoğun beden kondisyonu gerektiren işleri yaparken enerji ve doygunluk vermesi adına diğer malzemeleri karıştırmışlar ve İsviçre’nin geleneksel dağ yemeği olan Älplermagronen ortaya çıkmış.

12. Spätzle

Yumurtalı hamurdan yapılan bu makarna, hazırlandığı gibi kurutulmadan tereyağında pişirilir ve üzerine peynir konularak servis edilir. Genelde et yemeklerinin ve soslu yemeklerin yanında servis edilir.

13. Berner Platte

Bu ”Bern tabağı”, sauerkrautve patatese ek olarak dana eti, jambon, pastırma, domuz dili, kaburga, domuz fileto, omuz, kemik iliği gibi çeşitli et ve sosislerden oluşuyor. Allah ne verdiyse koyuyorlar kısaca.

14. Capuns

Bu da İsviçre yemeklerinin en ilginçlerinden biri. Görünüşte sarmayı andırsa da, pazı yapraklarının içine spätzle hamuru ve kurutulmuş et koyup sarılarak yapılıyor. Hazırlanan bu sarmalar süt, su ve et suyundan oluşan bir karışımda pişiriliyor ve üzerine peynir rendeleyerek servis ediliyor.

İsviçre seyahatinden önce bilmeniz gerekenlerden ilki ve en önemlisi hiç kuşkusuz vize.

İsviçre seyahatiniz için gereken vize: Schengen Vizesi.

İsviçre vize başvurusu Türkiye’de bulunan İsviçre konsolosluklarına şahsen yapılmıyor. Bunun yerine konsolosluğun karar verdiği TLS Contact merkezleri aracılığıyla yapılıyor. Vizenin çıkma süresi ise ortalama 10 gün.

Buradan vize başvurunuzu yapabilir, hazırlamanız gereken tüm belgeleri görebilir ve belgeleri teslim etmek üzere randevu alabilirsiniz.

2- İsviçre’ye Ne Zaman Gidilir?

Bence bu sorunun cevabı; her zaman! Eğer karlı dağlar, kayak, kızak, dağ evleri varsa aklınızda, elbette kış ayları (Ocak, Şubat) daha iyi bir tercih, ancak kayak yapmak niyetinde değil de daha çok şehirleri gezmek, dağ yürüyüşleri yapmak istiyorsanız Mayıs, Haziran ve Eylül daha uygun.

Ama yazları çok yağış aldığından tüm Ağustos’un yağmurlu geçme ihtimali de var, siz en iyisi mi hiç düşünmeden ilk fırsatta gelin 🙂

İsviçre Türkiye’den yaz saatiyle 1 , kış saatiyle ise 2 saat geridedir.

4- İsviçre’nin Para Birimi Nedir?

İsviçre’nin para birimi İsviçre Frangı’dır. 1 CHF şu kadar eder.

Büyük şehirlerde kredi kartı geçmeyen yere rastlamak imkansız gibi. Ancak kasabalara gittiğinizde kredi kartı kabul edecek yer bulmak çok zor. Yanınızda mutlaka nakit taşıyın.

5- İsviçre’de Hangi Priz Kullanılır?

Prizleri Türkiye’dekinden farklı. J tipi priz kullanıldığından yanınızda dönüştürücü getirmeniz gerek. Getirmezseniz de İsviçre’de CHF 5 gibi cüzi bir fiyata temin edebilirsiniz.

6- İsviçre’de Hangi Dil Konuşulur?

İsviçre’de Almanca, Fransızca, İtalyanca ve Romanşça konuşulur. Hangi dilin konuşulduğu hangi bölgeye gideceğinize göre değişiklik gösteriyor, malumunuz her bölgede başka bir dil konuşuluyor. Ancak nüfusun çoğunluğu özellikle de turistik bölgelerde İngilizce konuşabildiği için dil konusunda sıkıntı çekmeden seyahat edebilirsiniz.

7- İsviçre’de Nerelerde Ücretsiz İnternet Var?

Hemen hemen tüm tren istasyonlarında ve havalimanlarında ücretsiz internet bulunuyor. Ücretsiz internete bağlanabilmek için telefon numaranızı girmeniz ve numaranıza gelen şifreyi girerek interneti aktive etmeniz yeterli.

8- İsviçre’ye Giderken Yanınıza Almanız Gereken Şeyler Nelerdir?

Bol bol yürüyüş yapacağınızı hesaba katarsak yanınıza mutlaka spor ayakkabılarınızı almanız gerek. Eğer dağ yürüyüşü yapacaksanız trekking botları getirmeniz iyi olabilir. Ancak bavulda çok yer kaplar derseniz, sağlam ve rahat birer spor ayakkabı da işinizi görür. Ayrıca dağ yürüyüşüne çıkmadan önce mutlaka güneş kremi sürmenizi öneririm, bu yüzden mutlaka güneş kremlerinizi alın.

Yazın gelecekseniz eğer, İsviçre’de deniz olmaması sizi yanıltmasın. Önünüze çıkan her gölde yüzebileceğinizi unutmayın 🙂 Bu yüzden terlik, bikini/şort, güneş kremi, şapka, havlu getirin. Göllerin içi genelde çakıl taşlarıyla dolu olduğu için deniz ayakkabısı da getirebilirsiniz.

Yaz da olsa kış da olsa şemsiye her zaman işinize yarayacaktır, çünkü özellikle yaz ayları çok yağışlı geçebiliyor. Yine yaz için yanınıza hırka vs. alın, Ağustos’un göbeğinde buz gibi olabilir hava.

Bir de yukarıda bahsettim ancak priz dönüştürücü getirmeyi, ya da havalimanına indiğiniz gibi bir tane edinmeyi unutmayın. Otele yerleşip de laptopınızı şarj edemediğinizde bana iyi dileklerinizi yollamayın sonra 🙂

9- İsviçre’ye Yolculuk Ne Kadar Sürüyor?

İstanbul’dan İsviçre’ye uçakla yolculuk 2 saat 55 dakika sürüyor. İstanbul ve Ankara’dan, Basel, Zürih ve Cenevre’ye direkt uçuşlar bulunuyor.

10- İsviçre’de Nerede Kalınır?

İsviçre’de konaklamak için birçok seçenek bulunuyor. Oteller genellikle asırlardır dikili olduğu için, çok eski moda olabiliyor. Ancak elbette aynı zamanda birçok muhteşem otel de var.

11- İsviçre’de Ülke İçi ve Şehiriçi Ulaşım Nasıl?

İsviçre dünyanın en iyi toplu taşıma sistemlerinden birine sahip gerçekten de. Trenler, gemiler, otobüsler tertemiz. 16.03’de kalkması gereken tren 16.03’te kalkıyor. Birkaç dakika gecikme yaşanacaksa da bunu size önceden haber veriyorlar ve gerek şehir içinde gerekse ülke içinde her yere trenle gitmeniz mümkün.

Yalnızca manzara sebebiyle bile trenle seyahat edilir.

İsviçre’de Tren, Otobüs ve Tramvay

Tren, otobüs ve tramvay biletlerinizi (tek bir bilet hepsinde geçiyor) ister istasyonlardaki bilet makinelerinden, ister büyük istasyonlardaki bilet ofislerinden isterseniz de internet üzerinden alabilirsiniz. İnternet üzerinden bilet alırsanız ucuz bilet bulma şansınız da var.

İsviçre’de her bindiğiniz toplu taşıma için ayrı para vermiyorsunuz. Bir biletle, biletin geçerli olduğu bölgede ve biletin geçerli olduğu saatler içerisinde tüm toplu taşıma araçlarını kullanabilir, sınırsız seyahat edebilirsiniz.

Ücretler konusunda uyarmalıyım çünkü İsviçre’de ne ucuz ki ulaşım ucuz olsun değil mi? Size tavsiyem biletlerinizi her zaman gidiş dönüş olarak alın. Gidiş dönüş olarak aldığınız tüm biletler 24 saat boyunca geçerli oluyor ve bu 24 saat boyunca bileti aldığınız bölgedeki tüm toplu taşıma araçlarını sınırsızca kullanabiliyorsunuz.

Ayrıca ulaşım aracına binerken ya da araç içinde biletlerinizi göstermeniz ya da herhangi bir makineye okutmanız gerekmiyor. Zaman zaman bilet kontrolü yapan görevliler herhangi bir duraktan binip, aniden bilet kontrolü yapıyorlar. Bu kontrolcüler genellikle üniformalı oldukları gibi bazen sivil olarak da geziniyorlar.

Birkaç kez bilet alıp da kontrol edilmediğini gördüğünüzde bir sonraki sefer nasıl olsa kontrol edilmiyor diyerek bilet almamazlık yapmayın. Çünkü yakalanırsanız cezası CHF 100!

İsviçre’de Feribot

Feribotlar için ayrı bilet gerekiyor ve fiyatlar standart değil. Örneğin benim yaşadığım Horgen’dan gölün karşısı Meilen’a geçmek için bindiğimiz feribota yalnızca CHF 1.50 gibi bir rakam veriyoruz ve bu bilet SBB’den (İsviçre Ulusal Ulaşım Şirketi) alınmıyor. Feribota bindiğinizde görevli gelip topluyor paraları.

İsviçre Ulaşım Kartı Swiss Pass

Ülkenin her yerinde geçen Swiss pass almak isterseniz de buradan online olarak alabilirsiniz. Bileti alırken göreceğiniz fiyat gözünüzü korkutmasın. Örneğin 3 günlük bilet CHF 232. Ancak eğer ülkenin bir çok farklı yerine gitmeyi planlıyorsanız bu kart gerçekten en uygun fiyata sahip. Çünkü kantonlar arası seyahat tek biletlerle yüzlerce frank tutabilir. Eğer tek bir kantonda kalmayacak ve birçok farklı şehre geçecekseniz bu kartı almanızı önemle tavsiye ederim.

Ancak genel olarak aynı bölgede kalacaksanız ve uzun tren yolculukları planlamıyorsanız, gidiş dönüş olacak şekilde günlük bilet almanızı tavsiye ederim.

İsviçre’de Bisiklet

İsviçre’de ulaşımın en pahalı şeylerden biri olduğunu tekrar tekrar belirterek, fiyatlar bütçenize uymazsa her yere bisiklet ile de gidebileceğinizi belirtmek isterim. Örneğin Zürih’te bedava bisiklet kiralayabileceğiniz bir firma var. Sadece CHF 20 depozito ve pasaportunuzu rehin veriyorsunuz, bisikleti akşam teslim ettiğinizde paranızı ve pasaportunuzu geri alıyorsunuz.

İsviçre’de Teleferik, Füniküler ve Gondol

Dağlara gitmek için çokça kullanılıyor ve gideceğiniz dağın yükselikliğine göre yolda birkaç kere bir fünilerden bir diğerine binmeniz, ya da teleferikle aktarma yapmanız gerekebiliyor. Buradan bazı önemli istikametlere göz atabilirsiniz.

İsviçre’de Şehirler ve Ülkeler Arası Otobüs Flixbus

Şehirler ve ülkeler arası otobüs firması olan Flixbus ile çok çok uygun fiyatlara yolculuk yapabilirsiniz.

İsviçre’de Araba ile Seyahat

İsviçre’de araba kiralamak çok pahalı değil. Benzin de ucuz olduğundan kalabalık gruplar için bir seçenek olabilir. Ancak eğer otobanda araba kullanmak isterseniz, CHF 40 değerindeki ve bir sene boyunca geçerli olan, gişelerden geçmenizi sağlayacak bir vinyet (araç etiketi) almanız gerekiyor.

12- İsviçre’de Etik Nasıldır?

İsviçreliler ilk tanıştıkları kişilerle genelde el sıkışmayı tercih ediyorlar. Arkadaşlar, iş arkadaşları, aile bireyleri ise yanaktan 3 kere öpüşüyor. Önce sağ, sonra sol, sonra yine sağ.

Dağ yürüyüşü yaparken karşıdan gelen, ya da yanınızdan geçenlere selam vermeniz beklenir. Selamınızı almak için gözlerinizin içine içine bakarlar.

Saatlerin ülkesi İsviçre’de geç kalmayı büyük bir ayıp olarak görmeleri garip gelmiyor kulağa sanırım. Ne geç kalmaktan hoşlanırlar, ne de geç kalınmasından.

Kadeh tokuştururken masadaki herkesin ilgisinin kadehlerde olmasını beklerler ve tek tek herkesle kadeh tokuştururlar. Bu esnada esas olan göz teması kurmaktır. Her kadehine tokuşturduğunuzun aynı anda gözlerinin içine bakmalısınız.. Buna alışmam zaman aldı haha.

13- İsviçre’den Ne Alınır?

İsviçre’den saat, isviçre çakısı, inekli kupa, çikolata, peynir, fondü seti, Heidi temalı hediyelik eşyalar, raclette makinesi, guguklu saat ya da Kirch alınabilir.

14- İsviçreliler Nasıl İnsanlardır?

İsviçre insanı diğer Avrupa ülkelerine göre biraz daha kapalı. Genelleme yapmak ne kadar doğru bilmiyorum ama birazcık yapabiliriz bence. Çok dışa dönük değiller. Sıcakkanlı ve samimi davranmaktan kaçınırlar. Biraz ceviz gibiler. Sert kabuklu, ama kendilerini açtıklarında çok neşeli ve keyiflidirler.

Tabii bu aşamaya gelmek seneler alabildiğinden, turistik amaçlı geldiğinizde sizinle çok sohbet etmediklerini, konuşmaktan kaçındıklarını gördüğünüzde üzülmeyin. Ama bu kaba ve öfkeli oldukları anlamına gelmiyor. Aksine güler yüzlü ve dünyada görüp görebileceğiniz en kibar insanlardandırlar.

Kimseyle tartışmaya girmek istemezler. Bu nedenle fikirlerini genelde kendilerine saklarlar. Ama söz konusu kurallarsa ve bu kurallara uymadığınızı görürlerse içlerindeki canavar çıkıveriyor haha.

15- İsviçreliler Nasıl Giyinir?

İsviçreliler genelde rahat ama şık giyinirler. İşe gitmedikleri sürece topuklu ayakkabı giyen çok fazla kadın göremezsiniz. Giyenlerin de topukları kısa, nerede o şıkır şıkır Türk kadınları :p

İsviçreliler kaliteli giyime çok önem verir ama üzerlerinde hiçbir şekilde abartı bulunmaz. Sade ve şıklardır. Bu sebeple gece bir yere giderken, bir partiye katılırken vs. kendinizi aşırı süslenmiş gibi hissedebilirsiniz bu hatunların yanında.

Sokaklar sürekli koşan, yürüyüş yapan insanlarla doludur. Hafta sonları mutlaka dağ yürüyüşü yaparlar. Bu sebeple genelde spor giyim hakimdir. Siz de her yere spor ayakkabılarınızla gidebilirsiniz, yadırganmazsınız 🙂

16- İsviçre Güvenli Bir Ülke midir?

İsviçre dünyanın en güvenli ülkelerinden biri. İster yalnız bir kadın olun, ister çocuklarınızla olun, kendinizi bu ülke topraklarında yürürken çok iyi hissediyorsunuz. Bern dışında henüz hiçbir yerde dilencilere de denk gelmedim. Zürih’te ise ne sokakta bir evsiz gördüm ne de peşime takılan, rahatsız eden biri oldu.

Normalde gece sokakta tek başıma yürümekten korkan ben (İstanbul’dan miras), burada sabahın 4’ünde arkama bir kere bile bakmadan yürüyebiliyorum. Ayrıca bir şeyiniz kaybolduğunda da genelde size bir şekilde geri geliyor. Ya biri buluyor size ulaşıyor, ya siz soruşturduğunuzda kayıp deposuna teslim edildiğini öğreniyorsunuz.

Örneğin kredi kartımı kaybettiğimi, posta kutusunu kontrol ederken bankanın bana yeni bir kart gönderdiğini gördüğümde fark ettim. Meğer kredi kartımı düşürmüşüm, biri bulmuş, bankayı aramış, kayıp ihbarında bulunmuş ve banka bana yeni kart göndermiş.

Ya da alışverişten sonra, alışveriş poşetinizi trende unutursanız, biri bulup kayıp eşya ofisine bırakıyor ve hemen unuttuğunuz eşyaya ulaşabiliyorsunuz.

Elbette yine de her zaman temkinli davranmakta fayda var ancak İsviçre’ye gönül rahatlığıyla gelebilirsiniz.

Bu ülkede en büyük tehlike hava sanırım  Hava durumunu sokağa çıkmadan önce mutlaka kontrol edin, özellikle dağa gidecekseniz havalar yüzünden sorun yaşayabilirsiniz. Bu siteyi öneririm.

17- İsviçre’de Su ve Çeşmeler

İsviçre’de musluktan su içebilirsiniz. Şahsi düşüncem musluk suyunun tadı, çoğu şişe sudan bile daha güzel. Ayrıca ülkenin her köşesi çeşmelerle dolu. Alplerden gelen suyun tadına bu çeşmelerden akan suyla bakabilirsiniz. Sadece Zürih’te 1200 civarı çeşme var. Buradan Zürih’teki çeşmeleri gösteren haritaya ulaşabilirsiniz.

18- İsviçre’de Hangi Aktiviteler Yapılır?

Dağ yürüyüşü

İsviçre’de yapılması gereken en önemli aktivitelerden biri dağ yürüyüşleri. Buradan İsviçre’deki yürüyüş rotalarına ulaşabilirsiniz. Dağlarda 70 yaşında amcaların, teyzelerin yokuş yukarı nefes nefese kalmadan yürüdüklerine sık sık şahit olabilirsiniz. Kendinizi kötü hissetmeyin.

Bisiklet

İsviçre’de bisiklete binmek de ayrı bir keyif gerçekten. Dağların arasında, nehir kenarında bisiklet sürebilirsiniz. Buradan İsviçre’deki bisiklet rotalarına ulaşabilirsiniz.

Spa

İsviçre’de inanılmaz güzellikte, dağ ve göl manzaralı kaplıca ve spa tesisleri mevcut, bunlardan birine gitmeden geri dönmeyin.

Gece Hayatı

İsviçre’ye gitmeden önce bilmeniz gereken şeylerden biri de gece hayatı. İnanılmaz bir gece hayatı beklemeyin İsviçre’de. Yalnızca büyük şehirlerde Cuma ve Cumartesi geceleri nispeten yoğun geçer ancak onun dışında genelde her yer sakindir. Gece kulüpleri genelde bardan bozmadır, küçüktür.

Uluslararası expat grupları çok aktif burada. Sürekli yeni organizasyonlara rastlayabilirsiniz. Her hafta mutlaka maskeli parti, kostüm partisi, neon parti tarzında konseptli partiler yapılır. Bunlara katılırsanız hem çok eğlenirseniz hem de birçok arkadaş edinirsiniz. Tüm bu partileri, organizasyonları Meet up uygulaması üzerinden takip edebilirsiniz.

Müzeler

Eğer seyahatiniz uzun sürecekse ve bu süre boyunca birçok müzeyi gezmeyi hedefliyorsanız Swiss Museum Pass alabilirsiniz. 166 frank karşılığında 500’den fazla müzeyi gezebileceğiniz bir abonman bu.

Ama kısa bir zaman için geldiyseniz ve belli başlı müzeleri görmeyi planlıyorsanız, örneğin Zürih’teyseniz Zürich card alabilir, bu sayede Zürih’teki 43 müzeye bedava ya da indirimli girebileceğiniz gibi kartınızın geçerli olduğu süre içinde toplu taşımayı da ücretsiz kullanabilirsiniz. 19- İsviçre’de Bahşiş Verilir mi?

İsviçre’de bahşiş vermeniz beklenmiyor, çünkü servis ücreti zaten hesaba eklenmiş olarak geliyor önünüze. Ancak yine de İsviçreliler yemeği veya hizmeti beğendiklerini göstermek adına hesabın %10’u kadar bir bahşiş bırakmayı ihmal etmiyorlar.

20- İsviçre’de İçki Kültürü Nasıldır?

İsviçre şaraplarıyla çok meşhur olmasa da (ihraç etmek yerine ülke içinde tüketiyorlar), aslında bir şarap ülkesi. Yolculuğunuz sırasında her yerde karşınıza bir üzüm bağı çıkabilir.

Şarap dışında bira tüketimi de çok yaygın. Her kantonun kendi üretimi biralar var. Yerel biraların üretiminde birbirinden farklı baharatlar kullanıldığı için bu biraların tadı alışılmış biralardan çok farklı.

Ayrıca Alman içkisi Kirsch de ülkede üretiliyor ve İsviçreliler bu içkiyi peynir fondüsü yaparken malzemelerin içine katıyorlar.

21- İsviçre’nin En Meşhur Yemekleri Nelerdir?

İsviçreliler en çok et ve peynir tüketiyor. İsviçre’de gıda kalitesi çok yüksek ancak mutfakları çok zengin olmadığı için bana sorarsanız çok fazla leziz yemek bulmak mümkün olmuyor. Ancak ülkede dünyanın her mutfağından restoranlar olduğu için istediğiniz yemeği bulmanız zor değil.

Zürih gibi büyük şehirlerde vegan veya vejeteryan restoranların fazlalığı sizi şaşırtabilir. En büyük restoran zincirleri genelde vegan zincirler. Ancak kasaba ve köylerde daha çok et tüketildiğinden vejeteryan seçenek bulmakta zorlanabilirsiniz.

Ülkenin ulusal yemekleri ise Rösti, Peynir Fondü ve Raklet.

22- İsviçre Pahalı Bir Ülke mi?

Evet. Dünyanın en pahalı ülkelerinden biri İsviçre. İtalyan bölgesi bir nebze düşük fiyatlı olsa da özellikle Alman bölgesi turistler için çok çok pahalı. Dışarıda yemeyi ve içmeyi planlıyorsanız fiyatlar yüksek, ancak marketten almak o kadar da pahalı değil.

Eğer düşük bütçeli bir tatil yapmak istiyorsanız, restoran ve barlardan uzak durmanızı bunun yerine içkinizi ve yemeğinizi marketlerden almanızı tavsiye ederim. Özellikle Lidl ve Aldi (Alman Market Zincirleri), bizim A101 standardında marketler ve bu marketlerde ucuz ürün bulabilirsiniz. Ancak Migros ve özellikle Coop pahalı marketler.

Örnek vermek gerekirse; Lidl’da CHF 0.49’a 50’lik kutu bira alabilirken, Coop’ta CHF 2’den başlayan fiyatlarla alabiliyorsunuz.

Bir restoranda sipariş edebileceğiniz bir tabak basit bir yemek CHF 20’den başlıyor. Normal standartta bir restoranda bir porsiyon yemek ve bir kadeh şarap ortalama CHF 40 ediyor.

Bir kafede cappuccino CHF 5 , bir bira CHF 10, bir kadeh şarapsa CHF 12 civarında. (Ancak şarabı CHF’e 5’e bulabileceğiniz mekanlar da karşınıza çıkabilir)

Bu kendinden başka kimseyle derdi olmayan ülke İsviçre’nin biraz da geçmişine bakalım mı? Bu kısa isviçre tarihi yazımda tarih öncesinden günümüze İsviçre’nin kısa tarihini sizlerler paylaşıyorum olacağım. Söz veriyorum, tarihe ilginiz yoksa bile sıkılmayacaksınız! 🙂

Kısa İsviçre Tarihi – Tarih Öncesi

Bayağı eskiye gittik ancak tarih öncesine merakı olanların ilgisini çekebilir. Şimdi bu İsviçre’de Alpler’in kuzeyinde 150.000 yıl önce Paleolitik dönemde, avcı-toplayıcıların bu bölgeye yerleştiklerine dair arkeolojik kanıtlar bulunmuş. Neolitik döneme kadar da bu bölgede nüfus bayağı bir yoğunmuş.

Ama en eski kalıntılar 300.000 sene öncesinden Homo Eractus tarafından şekillendirilmiş olan bir el baltası. Gel zaman git zaman M.Ö. 1500 civarında bölgeye Kelt kabileleri yerleşmiş. Reatyalılar doğu bölgeye yerleşirken, batı tarafı da Helvetler tarafından işgal edilmiş.

Kısa İsviçre Tarihi – Roma İmparatorluğu Zamanı

M.Ö 58 yılında, Helvetler göçebe Cermen kabilelerinin baskısından kaçmak için Galya’ya yerleşmek üzere yola çıkmışlarken, Julius Caesar’ın orduları tarafından durdurulmuş, yenilmiş ve toprakları işgal edilmiş. Zamanla bu bölgelerdeki Alp halkları Roma İmparatorluğu’na entegre olmuş ve bölge sonraki yüzyıllar boyunca iyice romanize olmuş.

3. ve 4. yy’da da bölge Hristiyanlaşmaya başlamış. Ancak Roma İmparatorluğu M.S. 476 yılında Cermen kabilelerinin bölgeye girmesiyle yıkılmış. Cermen kabilelerinden olan Burgundlar batıya yerleşirken, Alamanlar kuzeye yerleşip, burada yaşayan Kelt-Roman nüfusu yavaşça dağlara çekilmeye zorlamışlar.

Daha sonra bölge uzun bir süre bir diğer Cermen kabile olan Franklar’ın Caroling Hanedanı tarafından yönetilmiş, sonra da değişik dükler, krallar derken, birkaç kere el değiştirmiş bölge. Ne Game of Thrones’lar yaşanmıştır ülkede düşünsenize.

Kısa İsviçre Tarihi – Orta Çağ Dönemi

1291 senesinin 1 Ağustos‘una gelindiğinde ise üç orman kantonu (Uri, Schwyz ve Unterwalden) temsilcileri İsviçre’nin kuruluş belgesi olarak kabul edilen Federal Beyanname‘nin altına imzalarını atmışlar.

1 Ağustos günümüzde ulusal bayram olarak kutlanmaktadır.

1353 yılında ise ilk birleşen bu üç orman kantonuna ek olarak Glarus ve Zug kantonlarıyla Luzern, Zürih ve Bern şehir devletleri de birliğe katılmış ve sekiz eyaletten oluşan “Eski Federasyon” kurulmuş.

Ha bu arada Zürih bir toprak anlaşmazlığı nedeniyle 1440 yılında konfederasyondan atılmış ama sonra geri alınmış. Daha sonra da diğer kantonlar teker teker federasyona katılmaya başlamış. 1648 senesine kadar Kutsal Roma Cermen İmparatorluğu’na bağlı bir devlet olan İsviçre’nin bağımsızlığı, Westfalya Barış Antlaşması ile Avrupalı ülkeler tarafından tanınmış.

Bir ek bilgi olarak da İsviçreli askerler o kadar disiplinli ve başarılıymış ki, zamanın Roma Katolik Klisesi papası II. Julius Vatikan’ı koruması için İsviçreli askerleri muhafız olarak işe almış. Günümüzde hala Vatikan’ı korumakla görevli askerler İsviçrelidir.

Kısa İsviçre Tarihi – Fransız İşgali

Fransız Devrimi orduları 1798 senesinde İsviçre’yi işgal etmiş ve yetmezmiş gibi zorla ülkenin hükümetini merkezileştiren, kantonları ortadan kaldıran yeni bir anayasayı uygulatmış ve bu bölgede Helvet Cumhuriyeti kurulmuş. İsviçre halkı her ne kadar sık sık ayaklansa da, Fransız birliklerinin varlığı nedeniyle maalesef başarıya ulaşamamış.

İsviçre sonraları, Avusturya ve Rusya gibi başka devletler tarafından da işgal edilmiş. Ancak İsviçre’de herkes eski kantonel zamanlarına geri dönmek istememiş olacak ki, İsviçre, merkezi hükümeti destekleyen “Cumhuriyetçiler” ve kantonların yeniden özerkliğini isteyen “Federalistler” arasında ikiye bölünmüş.

O zamanlar Napolyon Bonapart, her iki tarafı da 1803 yılında Paris’te bir araya getirerek, İsviçre’nin özerkliğini büyük oranda geri veren Arabulucuk Yasası’nı çıkartmış.

Yıl 1815 olduğunda da Viyana Kongresi ile İsviçre’nin bağımsızlığı ve tarafsızlığı tüm Avrupa güçleri tarafından tanınmış. Bu tarihte, Valais, Neuchatel ve Cenevre kantonlarının federasyona katılmasıyla birlikte İsviçre tarihteki en son genişlemeyi gerçekleştirmiş.

Kısa İsviçre Tarihi – İsviçre İç Savaşı ve 1848 İsviçre Federal Anayasası

Sene 1845’i gösterdiğindeyse İsviçre tarihinin en önemli iç savaşlarından birini yaşamış. Sebep de ne? Ben protestanım sen katoliksin, biz nasıl anlaşacağız.

Gitmişler 7 katolik kanton toplanıp Sonderbund adını verdikleri bir birlik kurmuşlar. (Bu kantonlardan biri olan Zug, benim çalıştığım şehrin olduğu kanton ve hala çok dindarlar. Öyle ki dini bayramlar çoğu diğer kantona göre daha fazla. Örneğin Zürih’te çalışan eşimin işe gitmesi gereken ‘Zürih protestan olduğu için onların dini bayram saymadığı’ bir gün, katolik olan Zug’da dini bayram olduğu için ben tatilde oluyorum).

Katoliklerin Sonderbund’u kurduğunu duyan Protestanlar da durur mu? Yapıştırmışlar savaşı. Sen misin ayrı bir birlik kuran diye girmişler birbirlerine. Bu iç savaş 27 gün sürmüş ve yaklaşık 100 kayıp verilmiş ve İsviçre tarihinin son silahlı çatışması olarak tarihe geçmiş.

İç savaştan sonra 1848 senesinde Federal Anayasa kabul edilmiş ve referandum uygulamasına geçilmiş. Bu anayasaya ile de merkezi bir otorite kurulmuş ve kantonların yerel konularda kendilerini yönetebilmesine karar verilmiş. Ancak sanayi devrimi vs. derken anayasa üzerinde birçok değişiklik yapılmış ve kantonlara yerel konularda daha fazla konuda hakimiyet hakkı tanınmış.

Kısa İsviçre Tarihi – Dünya Savaşları Zamanı İsviçre

İsviçre ne 1. Dünya Savaşı’nda ne de 2. Dünya Savaşı’nda taraf tutmuş, her iki savaşa da katılmamıştır. Yalnızca 2. Dünya Savaşı sırasında Almanya ben İsviçre’ye de saldıracağım demiş. Ancak sonra vazgeçmiş olacak ki böyle bir atak hiç gerçekleşmemiş.

2. Dünya Savaşı sırasında İsviçre casusluk için üs olarak kullanılmış ve sıklıkla iki taraf arasındaki iletişime aracılık ediyormuş.

Yine 2. Dünya Savaşı sırasında İsviçre Frangı, dünyada serbestçe dönüştürülebilen tek büyük para birimi olduğu için İsviçre Ulusal Bankası’na tüm ülkeler yüksek miktarlarda altın satmaya başlamış.

Maalesef ki bu altınların yüz milyonlarca frangı, işgal altındaki ülkelerin merkez bankalarından yağmalanan altınlar. Sadece soykırım kurbanlarından çalınan ve İsviçre bankalarına satılan altınların değeri 581.000 frank tutarındaymış..

Kısa İsviçre Tarihi – Modern İsviçre

Vee gelelim bugünlere. Bildiğimiz gibi İsviçre Avrupa Birliği üyesi değil. Aslında 1992 senesinde başvurmuşlar ama Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı’na giriş konusunda yapılan referandumda (halka soruyorlar düşünsenize) halk EEA’ya girmeyi reddedince bir daha da Avrupa Birliği’ne girmek için bir girişimde bulunmamışlar.

Ancak İsviçre yasaları AB yasalarıyla uyumlu ve İsviçre’nin Avrupa Birliği ile birçok anlaşması bulunmakta. Avrupa Birliği üyesi olmayan İsviçre, Schengen antlaşmasınaysa katılmıştır çünkü yine referandumla halka sorulmuş ve %55’lik bir oyla kabul edilmiştir.

İsviçre hakkında ne düşünüyorsunuz? Yorumlarda buluşalım!

Blogdaki ilk yazıma başlarken, aslında hangi ülkeden başlayacağıma karar vermem çok da zor olmadı. Her ne kadar Türkiye’de doğup büyümüş olsam da, 26 yaşındayken yerleştiğim bu ülkeyi, yalnızca 5 sene geçmesine rağmen Türkiye’den daha çok seyahat ettiğimi fark ettim. Eh tabi, İsviçre’nin küçücük bir ülke olmasının da bundaki etkisi yadsınamaz.

Bu yazıda İsviçre hakkında genel bilgilere yer verdim. İsviçre bayrağı, başkenti, nüfusu, dili, dini, ekonomisi, yönetimi, iklimi, kısacası İsviçre hakkında bilmeniz gereken her şey için bu yazıya göz atın!

1- İsviçre İsmi, Bayrağı ve Anlamı Nedir?

İsviçre, resmi adıyla İsviçre Konfederasyonu olup latincesi Confoederatio Helvetica‘dır. CH kısaltması da buradan gelir.

İsviçre bayrağı;

14. yy sonlarında İsviçreli askerler savaşa giderken, düşmanlarına karşı kendilerini ayırt edebilmek gereksinimi ile kırmızı fon üzerinde beyaz bir haç olan amblemler takmaya başlamışlar.

Bu sembolü seçmelerindeki sebep de malumunuz Hristiyanlık inancının da bir işareti olmasıymış. Daha sonra bu amblemi öncelikle mühür, daha sonra askeri bayrak olarak kullanmışlar ve 1889 yılında ulusal bayrak olarak kabul etmişler.

Dünyadaki tüm diğer bayraklar dikdörtgendir. İsviçre bayrağı ise karedir. Bu İsviçre bayrağını dünya bayrakları arasındaki iki kare bayraktan biri yapar. Bir diğer kare bayrak ise Vatikan’a aittir.

Kızıl Haç kurumunun amblemi aynı İsviçre bayrağına benziyor değil mi? Aslında bu amblem Kızıl Haç’ın kurucusu olan İsviçreli Henri Dunant onuruna, tam da İsviçre bayrağı esas alınarak tasarlanmış ve yalnızca haç ile arka planın renkleri değiştirilerek, beyaz üzerine kırmızı haç şeklinde oluşturulmuştur.

Yani Bizim Kızılay’ın bayrağının özü de aslında İsviçre Bayrağı’na dayanıyor. Yalnızca haç işareti, Müslüman ülkelerde ay şeklini almış.

2- İsviçre Nerededir?

İsviçre Batı Avrupa’da yer alan, komşuları olan kuzeyde Almanya’ya, güneyde İtalya’ya, batıda Fransa’ya ve doğuda Avusturya ile Lihtenştayn’a yalnızca birkaç saatlik mesafede olmasından dolayı insana kendini büyükçe bir şehirde hissettiren minicik bir ülke.

Ancak ne yazık ki İsviçre’nin denize kıyısı bulunmuyor (Ne büyük dertler var yarabbim). Bu seyahat edenler için bir sorun olmasa da burada yaşayan ve deniz aşkıyla yanan ben gibiler için birazcık sorun. Ama şunu da belirtmek gerekir ki 41.285 km²’lik bu ülkede tam tamına 7 koca bin (7000) civarı göl var ve bu göllerde gönül rahatlığıyla yüzülebiliyor.

Bazıları Alpler’in tepesinde gerçi ve sıcaklıkları (soğukluk desek daha doğru olur aslında) eksilere düşebiliyor. Yine de cesaret edebilene gayet de yüzülür bence.

Ama Zürih gölünü örnek verecek olursak su sıcaklığı 28 derecelere kadar çıkıyor yazları. Bu sebeple bir nebze de olsa deniz hissiyatı alabiliyoruz. Ama yine de, nerede şöyle tuzlu bir deniz gözlerimiz yansın cayır cayır. Neyse.

3- İsviçre’nin Başkenti Neresidir?

Teknik olaran bir başkenti olmayan İsviçre’nin de facto başkenti Bern‘dir. Bern İsviçre’nin 5. en büyük şehri olmakla birlikte, nüfusu 133.000’dır. Şehrin kurucusu Dük Berchtold V. Berchtold şehre, ormanda bir av gezisinde ilk karşısına çıkan hayvanın ismini vermek istemiş ve karşısına ilk olarak bir ayı çıkmış. Bu yüzden şehre Almanca ayı kelimesinin çoğulu olan Bären kelimesinin o bölgenin dilindeki haliyle ”bern” ismi verilmiş.

4- İsviçre’nin Telefon Kodu Nedir?

İsviçre’nin uluslararası telefon kodu +41’dir.

5- İsviçre Hangi Zaman Dilimindedir?

İsviçre, GMT+2 saat diliminde yer alıyor. Yazları Türkiye ile arasında 1 saat, kışın ise 2 saat var.

6- İsviçre’de Hangi Diller Konuşuluyor?

Şimdi, bu konu biraz karışık. İsviçre’de 4 resmi dil var: Almanca, Fransızca, İtalyanca ve Romanşça. Federal hükümet bu 4 dili de kullanmak zorunda ve hatta meclis toplantılarında 4 dilde de eş zamanlı olarak çeviri yapılıyor.

Konfederasyon başkanı, Covid-19 konusunda halka sesleniş yaparken gözlerimle gördüm. Yaptıkları açıklama önce Almanca, sonra Fransızca, sonra İtalyanca.. (bu böyle devam ediyor)

En yaygın dil nüfusun %64’ünün konuştuğu Almanca. Hemen ardındansa %24 gibi bir oranla Fransızca geliyor. İtalyanca konuşan nüfus sayısı %9 civarındayken, Romanşça, yalnızca kanton Graubünden’de nüfusun %0.5’i tarafından konuşuluyor (ki bu hepi topu 50.000 kişi gibi bir şey).

4 resmi dilin olması yetmiyor tabi, bir de her bir dilin ayrı bir lehçesi bulunuyor ve hepsi başlı başına birer dil desek çok isabetli olur. Resmi makamlarda, gazetelerde, radyo ve televizyonda standart Almanca, Fransızca, İtalyanca ve Romanşça kullanılırken, her bölgede halkın kendi içinde konuştuğu dil farklılık gösteriyor.

* İsviçre Almancası

Mesela ben İsviçre’nin Almanca konuşulan bölgesinde yaşıyorum ve halk burada İsviçre Almancası konuşuyor ki bu dil gerçekten Almancadan bir hayli farklı. Bu da yetmez gibi İsviçre Almancası da bir tane değil, çünkü neden olsun?

Her bölgede farklı bir diyalektle karşılaşıyorsunuz ve farklı kantonlardan insanların birbirini anlamakta epey bir zorluk çektiğine ve hatta bazen hiç anlamadıklarına şahit olabiliyorsunuz. Bu sebeple birbirinin lehçesini anlamakta zorlanan insanlar standart Almanca konuşarak durumu çözebiliyorlar.

* İsviçre Fransızcası

İsviçre Fransızcası ülkenin en çok konuşulan ikinci dili olmasının yanı sıra, standart Fransızca ile arasında çok az farklılık olduğu söyleniyor. İsviçre Fransızcası konuşanlar, standart Fransızca konuşanlara nazaran sesli harfleri epey bir uzatarak konuşuyorlar(mış) ve bu da onların yavaş konuşuyor gibi görünmesine sebep oluyor(muş). Ben söylentilerin yalancısıyım.

* İsviçre İtalyancası

İsviçre İtalyancası konuşulan bölgede ise durum içgüveysinden hallice gibi. İsviçre İtalyancası, biraz Almanca ve biraz da Fransızca kelimelerin de dahil olduğu, bir nevi ortaya karışık bir dil (Bu konuda da İtalyan olan eşim Stefano’nun, İsviçre İtalyancası duyduğunda hayalet görmüş gibi bakmasının yalancısıyım).

* Romanşça

Ve son olarak gelelim Romanşça‘ya. Bu da gayet enteresan bir dil çünkü aynı Fransızca ve İtalyanca gibi Roman dil ailesinden geliyor. Ancak zamanın Kelt ve Retsiya dillerinden de etkilenerek bugünkü halini alıyor.

Romalılar MÖ 15. yy’da, günümüzdeki Grisons(Graubünden) bölgesini fethetmişler ve burada yerli halk tarafından konuşulan Kelt ve Retsiya dilleri ile Romalıların İtalyancası zamanla birbirine harmanlanmış ve Romanşça denen bu dil oluşmuş.

Ancak az kişinin konuştuğuna bakmayın çünkü bu dilin de tam 5 adet diyalekti bulunuyor. Ve hatta bu diyalektler zamanla o kadar farklılaşmış ki, Romanşçanın iki farklı lehçesini konuşan iki insan birbirini anlayamayıp, anlaşabilmek için İtalyanca ya da Almanca konuşmaya başlıyorlarmış!

Bir de İngilizce var tabi, es geçmeyelim. Her ne kadar İsviçreliler milliyetçilik duygularının kabarıklığından İngilizce konuşmayı sevmediklerini her defasında bastıra bastıra söyleseler de, İsviçre’de her birey en az iki dil çoğunlukla birkaç dil biliyor ve özellikle büyük şehirlerde İngilizce sanki ülkenin ana diliymişçesine herkes tarafından konuşuluyor.

7- İsviçre’nin Nüfusu Kaçtır?

İsviçre’nin nüfusu yalnızca 8.5 milyon. Yerli nüfusun büyük çoğunluğunu yaşlılar oluşturuyor. Ancak nüfusun %25 gibi diğer bir büyük çoğunluğunu ise yabancılar oluşturuyor ki bu da genç nüfusun neredeyse yarısının yabancı olduğu anlamına geliyor.

Bu yabancı nüfusun çoğunluğunu da İtalyanlar, ardından sırasıyla Almanlar, Portekizliler, Fransızlar, Sırplar, Türkler, İspanyollar ve Avusturyalılar oluşturuyor. Asyalı ırklardan ise İsviçre’yi en çok Sri Lanka’daki iç savaştan kaçan Tamil mültecileri yurt edinmiş durumda.

Yine özellikle Zürih o kadar çok yabancı insan barındırıyor ki, sokaklarda sürekli İngilizce konuşulduğunu duymanız kaçınılmaz.

8- İsviçre’nin Para Birimi Nedir?

İsviçre’nin para birimi İsviçre Frangı‘dır. Uluslararası kısa kodu CHF‘dir.

9- İsviçre İklimi Nasıldır?

İsviçre’de hava soğuktur, hatta buz gibidir. Ancak yine de kaynaklar ılıman iklim olarak belirttiği için ben de İsviçre’de iklim ılımandır yazacağım. Ama ben biliyorum ki iklim soğuktur, karlıdır, taşlıdır. Aşağıdaki fotoğraf Ocak ayından.

Ama ben sizi yanıltmayayım çünkü sıcaklık bölgeden bölgeye inanılmaz değişiyor. Mesela İtalya’ya sınır olan Ticino bölgesi sıcaktır, ne de olsa bir ucu İtalya’ya değiyor. Almanya’ya yakın olan bölge ise gayet soğuktur.

Yazları bir Antalya olmasa da bir İstanbul kadar sıcak geçer ancak yaz uzun sürmez. 1-2 ay sıcak olur (en iyi şartlarda), daha sonra havalar yeniden serinlemeye başlar.

Tüm yıl yağmur yağar ama en çok yaz aylarında yağar. Yağmurun çok yağdığı bu dönemlerde Alpler’in güneyine fön rüzgarları denen sıcacık rüzgarlar eser.

İsviçre’yi ziyaret edecekler için şunu da söylemeden geçmeyeyim; İsviçre her mevsim için ideal bir tatil yeridir ve her ne kadar kış tatilleriyle adından daha çok söz ettirse de bir o kadar da keyifli bir yaz tatili de yapılabilir. Alttaki fotoğraf Zürih gölünden.

10- İsviçre Nasıl Yönetilir?

Öncelikle evet, doğrudan demokrasi ile ilgili söylenenler doğru.

1848 federal anayasanın uygulanmaya başlandığı zamandan beri İsviçre, anayasal girişim ve referandumu temel alan bir hükümet sistemi olan doğrudan demokrasiyle yönetiliyor. Bu da demek oluyor ki, meclisin onayladığı bir yasayı kabul etmeyen ve halka sorgulatmak isteyen bir grup vatandaş, yasa çıktıktan sonraki 100 gün içinde 50.000 imza toplayabilirse eğer, referandum talebinde bulunabilir.

Referandum sonucuna göre de yasanın kabulu ya da reddi kararı verilir. Buna ek olarak İsviçreliler anayasal girişim haklarını kullanarak anayasal bir değişiklik talebinde de bulunabilirler. Bunun içinse 100.000 imza toplamaları yeterlidir ve ardından değişiklik taleplerini ulusal oylamaya sunabilirler.

İsviçre’de, İsviçre Parlamentosu (Federal Meclis) ve Federal Hükümet adında iki meclis bulunur. Federal Meclis’i Eyaletler Konseyi ve Ulusal Konsey oluşturur. Eyaletler Konseyi’nin her kantondan 2şer (yarım kantonlardan(!) 1er) kişi olmak üzere 46 üyesi bulunur. Ulusal Konsey’e seçimler ise oransal temsil sistemi ile yapılır ve konseyin 200 üyesi bulunur.

Devlet başkanlığı görevi ise İsviçre’nin en çok oy alan siyasi partilerinden seçilen 7 üyeden oluşan Federal Hükümet‘e aittir. Yani, bu ülkede devlet tek bir parti ya da tek bir kişi tarafından değil, farklı partilerden seçilen 7 kişi tarafından yönetilir. Devlet başkanlığı görevini yürütmek üzere konseyi oluşturan yedi kişiden biri, bir yıl süresince görev yapmak üzere İsviçre Konfederasyon Başkanı olarak seçilir.

İsviçre 23’ü tam ve 3’ü yarım olmak üzere 26 kantondan oluşmaktadır. Basel, Appenzell ve Unterwalden kantonları iki yarım kantondan oluşur ve bu yarım kantonlar Eyalet Konseyi’ne tam kantonlar gibi 2şer üye gönderemez. Onların yalnızca 1er üye gönderme hakkı vardır :'( Zalım diğer kantonlar.

11- İsviçre’de Din ve İnanç Nasıldır?

İsviçre’de devlet dini yok. Ancak bu ülkede Hıristiyanlar kiliselere vergi ödemekle yükümlü. Bu vergiyi istemeyen vatandaşların dinlerini bırakmaları ve kiliseden kayıtlarını sildirmeleri gerekiyor. Aksi takdirde kiliseye vergi ödemeye devam etmek zorundalar.

İsviçre’nin neredeyse %40’ı Roma Katolik Kilisesine, yaklaşık %31’i ise Protestan mezheplerine bağlıdır. Mezheplerine aşırı bağlıdırlar ve bazı köylerin girişlerinde ”Bu köy Katoliktir” ya da ”Bu köy Protestandır” ibarelerine rastlanabilir. Ah şu çılgın İsviçreliler..

12- İsviçre Ekonomisi Neye Dayanır?

Çikolata, çikolata, çikolata… Daha başka bir şey yazmasam da olur aslında, gerisinin önemi var mı a dostlar! Eh böylesine mükemmel çikolatalar üreten bir ülkenin, kişi başına düşen çikolata tüketimi sıralamasında dünyada birinci sırada yer almasına şaşırmamak lazım..

İsviçre dünyanın en stabil ülke ekonomilerinden biri desek çok doğru olur. Dünyadaki en zengin pazarlardan birine sahip. Kişi başına düşen milli gelir sıralamasında 4. sırada yer alır.

Ülke insanı en çok finans, bankacılık ve ticaret sektörlerinde çalışırken, ülke ekonomisinin diğer önemli sektörleri ise turizm ve endüstridir. Swatch, Nestle gibi firmalar ve dünyanın en büyük bankalarından ikisi olan UBS ve Credit Suisse İsviçre merkezlidir. Alım gücü çook (o’ları dilediğiniz kadar uzatabilirsiniz, hakkınızdır) yüksektir İsviçre’de.

Dünyanın herhangi bir yerinden gelen bir turist için İsviçre genellikle çok pahalıdır ancak burada maaşlar yüksek ve hayat İsviçre’de çalışıp yaşayanlar için hiç de pahalı değil (tartışmaya açık biliyorum, ancak koyu renkle belirttiğim yer önemli). En asgari maaşı alan birey bile çok abartmadığı sürece dışarıda yemek yiyebilir, eşi dostuyla birkaç kadeh bir şey içmeye çıkabilir, sağlıklı ve bol çeşitli olacak şekilde beslenebilir, hobilerine zaman ve para ayırabilir, senede birkaç kere de tatile çıkabilir.
